Release
I was never a fan of the current Red Hood design for Arkham as it seems like a lazy recolor of Arkham Knight. I never really knew about this cut model until a couple months ago, when I very first started modding. I like this design far better than the current release one we have now, especially with the tweaks to the visor I've made to make it look closer to the look of Origins Joker Red Hood, while still attempting to have some sort of Arkham Jason in there. There will be some oddities with this model because it isn't really a "cut" model it's more of an early model that they also used for the promotional art. His body is smaller by a minuscule amount, the sleeves on the jacket are up a little higher and the skin on his wrists are showing, similar to how they do in the Red Hood DLC cutscenes.
Also thanks to IceMage for helping me with the emissive mask texture, the materials for both variants are a little funky.
Now for the tweaks I did to the visor. Originally it had a huge glare from the reflections that came off of it and was this odd transparent yet fully colored glass like visor. I didn't really like the look of it so I changed it to make it seem more solid, and tried to match the shininess to Red Hood Joker from origins which is the clear inspiration Rocksteady had with this model. To keep the same Arkham Knight/Jason Todd feel I bumped the refraction multiplier to give it a sort of glow without the emissive getting in the way. So when you look at it directly ahead you will see reflections, however if you look at the visor at a sharp angle it will have more of a red glow with more of a matte texture. I hope this achieves my desire to keep the inspiration of Red Hood Joker while simultaneously keeping the identity of Jason.
V2 Now has a cool new showcase anim done by Dark Sheep.
