About this mod

This mod overhauls Phalar Aluve, The Emperor's Sword, Cruel Sting, Adamantine longsword, and Larethian's Wrath, and adds upgraded variants of each. It also adds four unique longswords that can be upgraded throughout your playthrough.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
The basegame longswords suck. There is no getting around this fact. The highest rarity sword isn't even a legendary. For such a staple of fantasy and DND, the longsword sees a surprising lack of love in BG3. This mod aims to fix that, while staying as balanced as possible. Longswords should now be competitive with other weapon types, while the upgrade system allows the player to have an "iconic weapon" they use throughout their playthrough.

- Artificer's Spheres of Improvement, which can be used to upgrade your longswords

COMPATIBILITY:
This mod should work fine with most other weapon mods. If you're using a mod that overhauls any of the longswords listed above, which ever mod you load last will provide the stats. If you want this mod to override other stats, put this at the bottom. If you want this mod, but a different Phalar Aluve or Emperor's Sword, load those mods after this one. Obviously save and test before you seriously commit, just to be safe.

UPGRADE SPHERES:
Artificer's Spheres of Improvement can be found during your adventures. Unequip your weapon and combine it with the sphere to upgrade it to the next tier.
Uncommon Sphere + Uncommon Weapon = Rare Weapon
Rare Sphere + Rare Weapon = Very Rare Weapon
Very Rare Sphere + Very Rare Weapon = Legendary Weapon

Spheres spawn naturally across the world in the following locations:
1 Uncommon Sphere is dropped by the Underdark Spectator in Act One
1 Uncommon Sphere can be found on the Duergar Raft in Act One (same chest as the Intransigent Warhammer)
1 Uncommon Sphere can be bought from Jeera in the Creche in Act One

1 Rare Sphere can be found in the back of The Waning Moon in Act Two (same chest as the Punch Drunk Bastard)
1 Rare Sphere can be found in the back chest in the House of Healing in Act Two

1 Very Rare Sphere is dropped by Ansur in Act Three
1 Very Rare Sphere can be found in Lorokan's Vault, behind the illusory door in the puzzle in Act Three (same chest as the Hellfire Greataxe)
