The Chosen of Bhaal - Ability Pack

Similar to my previous mod, this mod adds a bunch of npc abilities and spells (Orin, Bhaal cultists, Slayer,..) and makes them usable for player characters. Some custom made spells are also included, such as Summon Bhaalspawn Echo, a reworked and more usable version of Power Word Kill, and Bhaal's Edict (I kept the original mechanic and added additional features)

Perfect for Dark Urge playthroughs, the mod also comes with an early Slayer Form version if you want to unlock it early. I didn't test that version too far in the game so I am unsure if it can cause some problems for the story.

The abilities are available in the tutorial chest potion or by using Orin's Dagger (Summon Bhaalspawn, Bhaal's Edict, Dread Pursuit and Power Word Kill Ritual) and wearing the Bhaalist Set (Hood: Stunning Gaze, Gloves: Throat Punch, Armor: Conjure Murder of Crows and Murderous Cloud of Daggers)

My other mods:
List of abilities (see pictures for more details)

  • Murderous Cloud of Daggers: similar to Cloud of Daggers (level 3 spell slot version) but also inflicts bleed to enemies for 3 turns. Deals 6d4 Piercing damage. Cost: Action and requires concentration
  • Stunning Gaze: the target must succeed a Wisdom saving throw or get stunned until the end of its next turn. Cost: Action
  • Dread Pursuit: teleport to a target: Cost: Bonus Action and available once per combat
  • Murder Hungry (Passive): every time you kill an enemy, get one charge of Unstoppable (reduces the next instance of damage you take to 1 and consumes 1 charge of Unstoppable). Can be toggled on and off.
  • Sanguine Lash (Slayer Form): once per turn, use a reaction to riposte with Sanguine Lash when attacked, and deal 4d8 Slashing damage to everyone in front of you. Also pushes back your foes by 6m and inflicts 3 turns of bleed. Cost: Reaction
  • Scarlet Mist (Slayer Form Passive): after taking damage, if your health drops below 50%, get a buff that grants you 25 temporary HP (40 if level 10 or higher), a +2 bonus to Strength, and advantage on Wisdom saving throws.
  • Power Word Kill Ritual: reworked version of Power Word Kill (normally acquired in Durge playthroughs and usable only once). Channel a deadly ritual for 3 turns. During these 3 turns, you cannot move or use actions or bonus actions. Afterwards, if you didn't get interrupted, unlock the Power Word Kill ability for one turn (one shots an enemy at 100 health or less). Cost: Action and available once per long rest, also requires concentration.
  • Throat Punch: punch a foe's throat, possibly dazing them, knocking them prone, and silencing them. Deals 2d8 Bludgeoning damage. Cost: Action
  • Summon Bhaalspawn Echo: choose 1 of 4 new summons, each with their own set of spells and abilities. They have 4 level 1 spell slots, 4 level 2 spell slots, 3 level 3 spell slots, 2 level 4 spell slots, and 12 sorcery points. Cost: Action and available once per short rest.
  • Echo of Sendai: Spells: Hold Person, Slow, Command, Sleet Storm.
  • Echo of Amelyssan: Spells: Sanctuary, Healing Word, Mass Healing Word, Warding Bond.
  • Echo of Illasera: Spells: Lesser Restoration, Haste, Freedom of Movement, Death Ward.
  • Echo of Abazigal: Spells: None but focuses on melee attacks.
  • Conjure Murder of Crows: summon from 1 up to 5 murder crows. Cost: Action and available once per short rest
  • Bhaal's Edict: applies Bhaal's Boon on you or 1 of your allies. Similar to Action Surge, you will get an extra Action point until the end of your turn. However, you also get the Bhaal's Edict debuff, killing you instantly if you do not kill a creature during your turn. This only works with melee attacks, most spells won't remove the effect so be careful. Cost: Bonus Action
