Godkin is a custom race for Baldurs gate 3, featuring subraces themed after divine concepts. Each subrace has two unique abilities, custom visuals, and a personalized set of spells.

Overview
Tiny fragments of divinity, Godkin are shards of divine power that have gained sentience.

The Godkin race mod was created to fit the bill for a more conceptual divine race, based on 'shards' of divine domains rather then the existing angelic races like Aasimar. 
There is 6 subraces to the main race - I am considering adding more, and am happy to take commissions for new and custom ones - please contact me through DMs if you have a request.
Currently there is the following Godkin subraces:
  • Sunshard
  • Moonshard
  • Warshard
  • Peaceshard
  • Stormshard
  • Protectionshard
As a disclaimer, these races aren't intended to be fully balanced against most vanilla races, they have a bit of an extra kick. That said, they aren't intended to be totally overpowered, and I appreciate all constructive feedback in that regard! (Also bugs. If you find any bugs, please let me know.)
Features
The main race has two features, on top of 9 m / 30 ft base movement;
  • Darkvision; Can see in the dark up to 12 m / 40 ft.
  • Divine Constitution; You have Advantage on Saving throws against being Poisoned and you have Resistance against Poison damage.
The subraces then have 3 features - two unique, and then a set of spells that they receive over the course of levels 1-5. The spell gained at level 3 may be cast a number of times per long rest equal to your proficiency bonus - this resource may be found on your toolbar as 'Divine Power'. The spell gained at level 5 may be cast once per long rest.

Sunshard
A Shard from the divine concept of the Sun. Sun-Kin are typically noble and proud, great warriors who are empowered by light.
  • Solar Resistance. Resistance to Radiant damage. You take 1 less damage from fire.
  • Photonic Regeneration. Every turn while in sunlight, you regenerate a number of hit points equal to your proficiency bonus.
  • Solar Magic. You learn the firebolt cantrip, although it does radiant damage. At 3rd level you may cast blinding smite (damage reduced to 2d8). At 5th level you may cast crusaders mantle as a bonus action.
Moonshard
A Shard from the divine concept of the Moon. Typically Moon-kin are graceful and quietly spoken, able to shrug off corruption and slip across the realms.
  • Lunar Resistance. You have resistance to necrotic damage, and are immune to the effects of the shadow curse.
  • Fey Ancestry. You have advantage against the charmed and frightened conditions. You may not be put to sleep with magic.
  • Lunar Magic. You learn the sacred flame cantrip. At 3rd level you may cast misty step. At 5th level you may cast spirit guardians.
Warshard
A Shard from the divine concept of war. Typically passionate and strong, war-kin are natural talents with weapons, possessing a keen instinct for battle.
  • Herald of War. Once per long rest you may chose to add your level to the damage of a melee weapon attack.
  • Battle Ready. You gain proficiency in medium armor and shields, alongside longswords, spears and greatswords. 
  • War Magic. You learn the blade ward cantrip. At 3rd level you may cast spiritual weapon. At 5th level you may cast vampiric touch.
Peaceshard
A Shard from the divine concept of peace. Eloquent and trustworthy, peace-kin make natural diplomats.
  • Peacebringer. You gain proficiency and expertise in persuasion.
  • Diplomatic Immunity. After a long rest, you gain the effects of the sanctuary spell.
    3. Peace Magic. You learn the friends cantrip. At 3rd level you may cast prayer of healing. At 5th level you may cast beacon of hope.
Stormshard
A Shard from the divine concept of storms. Storm-kin are strange yet vibrant. Prone to flights of fancy, storm-kin are a electric people.
  • Tempestuous Resistance. You are resistant to lightning and thunder damage.
  • Zephyr. You gain 3 m / 15 ft of movement speed.
  • Storm Magic. You learn the thaumaturgy and shocking grasp cantrips. At 3rd level you may cast protection from arrows. At 5th level you may cast call lighting.
Protectionshard
A shard from the divine concept of protection. Protection-kin naturally gravitate to protecting others, proving steadfast companions when the going gets tough.
  • Tough Skin. You take a flat 2 less damage from physical damage.
  • Protective Aura. Allies may add +2 to their saving throws within 3 m / 10 ft of you.
  • Protection Magic. You learn the resistance cantrip. At 3rd level you may cast blur. At 5th level you may cast protection from energy.
Planned
In the future I plan to try and add actual icons for the race and subrace - currently I don't have the skills to create race icons from scratch. 
Additionally I'd like to spiff the text descriptions for the abilities up a bit, alongside any future subraces and bugfixes.

  • Download latest version
  • Import with bg3mm or install using vortex mod manager
