Hello there! Loved your Headbangers Symphony a while back and I see now it's been deleted. Any plans to bring it, or anything similar, back? If I can find my old copy of it, do you think it would still work?
I still have a copy of it, unfortunately I have moved back to the oilfields and do not have internet access at the moment. I believe I created a file share at some point and uploaded. Let me see if I still have the link.
It should * still work if you have a copy. Unless they have updated stuff and changed the file patting. I haven't modded since about August. But nexus completely nuked all my music stuff, and that was disappointing. Some day I'd like to come back, but I'd have to find a safe place to upload
Yeah, the moderators here can be insufferable morons sometimes. I remember back when BG3 modding was new and there were multiple different mods doing the same thing in different ways, and the moderators shut down the better working ones in favor of the one "that came first" even though it was broken and janky. If I can find my old copy of Headbangers Symphony, I'll test it out and see if it still works.
Anywho, thanks for taking the time to reply, and good luck with your time in the oil fields. I used to know a bunch of people who did that kind of work. It can be crazy out there.
Did Nexus even give you a reason for nuking your stuff? Like did someone DMCA your files or something? Depending on why Nexus nuked it in the first place, you might be able to host on mod.io, but I haven't seen anything else purely audio based over there for BG3 (not like there is a ton of that out there anyway). And I don't know if you would have to repack your mod through the toolkit in order to do so.
Cheers! And I shall await your heavy metal return!
So long story short. I was just fine till I tried uploading an audio mod for cyberpunk 2077. During the race missions, I added in some music replacers. One of the mods deleted it almost immediately then went thru my profile and deleted every single one of my bg3 bard mods lol.
I'm sure he wants to claim copyright bs. But those fools have nothing better to do than go on a powertrip.
I did try going thru mod.io back when the beta for mod tools was going on, but since we couldn't actually do anything with audio more than what was already being done, I never got around to figuring it out.
It's not like my bard mods were super popular, But I loved making them and I know there were a small group of people who really enjoyed it.
I'd love to get back to it at some point because learning to mod was a really fun hobby
Damn its ridiculous that they went through all your mods that had nothing to deal with the initial one they were even striking in the first place, I absolutely adored your mods and still use Apocalypticore! I just started re-modding BG3 after the final big update and was looking all over for your mods! Once your able to come back I'd def dispute Nexus an try to re-upload some but for now take it easy out there in the fields and be careful ya Rockin Bard!
I know right? so lame, I wish I had backups of most of those too. The only one I still have a copy of is HeadBangers Symphony, the complete audio overhaul I did for absolutely every single track in the game that I could get my hands on lol. That one was my absolute pride and joy, so I'm glad I still have a copy of that.
I'd love to get back to modding at some point, but I've been so busy since I've been out here that the only free time I have to myself is on my day off lol. I'm glad you enjoyed what there was before it all got nuked. Those little bard projects carried me thru a rough patch and gave me something to do for a few months!
Hello! I love all of these songs, but when I've tried all of the downloads and it seems only the old times battles and bard dance work. Is there a bug going on currently?
Unfortunately i am not sure. I haven't modded since August, so I'm not sure if anything has changed between now and then. This is also one of my earlier mods, I had an entire library full of bard mods before a nexus pleb decided to delete all my bard mods. Unfortunately, I'm in the oilfields working right now with no internet access or downtime to get into modding again for the time being. So I would be unable to troubleshoot or fix anything if there was indeed a bug :/
This seems fookin awesome! Thanks so much for putting this together! I love the music and definitely want my bard to jam out with these badass tunes.
I am however wondering if this needs to be updated for patch 7?
Also I've been trying to find Steam\Steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data\Public but for the life of me I cannot! >.<
I have my BG3 installation on a different drive then my C drive and when I go into Steam\Steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data there is no Public folder. I'm at a loss but I really want this music in my game.
Any suggestions?
I'm not new to modding in general tho im not as familiar with BG3 mods as I am Skyrim so any help would be greatly appreciated.
This really seems like a cool mod, and something I've been wanting to add to my game forever, but there are ZERO instructions on how to install it I've placed what I've downloaded into the sound folder like I was told and nothing happens, It's just a notepad file doing nothing
Oh man this is amazing and perfect for my metal bard! Thank you for making this!
If I could ask for just one more variant though: Is there a chance you could upload a version of BardZERO that plays the whole song via single instrument, but without vocals? Instrumental only metal is my jam. No worries if it's not possible, I just figured I'd ask since you already spliced the songs up into separate instruments. Amazing work already.
Ok I'm not great at modding, but I went through to public\shared\assets\ and all I have are unique_tav and Characters... no sound folder. What am I missing?
Sorry modding question How did you find which files belong to which instrument/song? I want to edit the Bardic Inspiration cast sound but I have trouble finding the file
Honestly it takes a lot of manual work haha. Since they're not a huge catalogue of stuff that has been identified, the only real way is to listen to all the sound files in Foobar.
And you have to individually listen to each file to identify it since all the sound files are named by their WEM id's.
So you have to know how long the Bardic inspiration is ( let's use a number like 4 seconds) You would then go into foobar and go down The list of all the 4 second tracks, until you hear what you're looking for.
And then you'd name your over ride file the same ID# as the audio you're trying to replace.
It's all actually very simple to do, it can just be massively time consuming scrolling through the list to identify specific things lol But very much worth it I think cause you can do some cool stuff
Oh my it sounds awesome! I honestly haven't had the chance to sit back and enjoy the game yet, I've been too sucked into the modding vortex lol I'm glad you are enjoying it! I love it!

One headbangers symphony coming right up!
Give it a shot! Let me know if it still works!

You'll get used to it bud. They typically have no wrinkles up there.

Well, I was able to confirm the mod works before actually using it on my bard play through.
I made this one for you <3
