About this mod
The College of the Bae'qeshel is a bardic college rooted in the ancient traditions of the Bae'qeshel Telphraezzar, the Whisperers of The Dark Queen. These bards are typically female Drow and are worshippers of Lolth. In addition to a regular Bard progression, the Bae'qeshel have a unique set of songs that are fueled by Bardic Inspiration.

This is a faithful and mostly RAW adaptation of the College of Bae'qeshel, a homebrew Bard subclass written by B. Wraven Wright. Some minor changes had to be made to some of the songs due to limitations in BG3. A small handful of additional songs and abilities were added to give a little more flavor to the class.
At level 3 a College of Bae'qeshel Bard will choose 2 songs from a list of 10 songs. You can learn 2 additional songs of your choice at 6th, 10th, 15th, and 20th level. Each time you learn new songs you can replace one song you know with a different one.
A list of the songs available to the Bae'qeshel follows. Those denoted with a [U] are able to be upcasted.
- Aria of Discordance [U] - You can spend an inspiration die and use your action to create a cone of sonic force. Each creature in a 30 foot cone originating from you must make a CON saving throw or take thunder damage and be pushed away from you.
- Dark Minstrels Lullabye [U] - When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can use your bonus action and expend one inspiration die to attempt to inflict additional poison damage.
- Disarming Trill - When you hit a creature with a spell or weapon attack, you can expend one inspiration die to attempt to disarm the target. You add the inspiration die to the attack’s damage roll.
- Hymn of Intimidation - When you hit a creature with a spell or weapon attack, you can spend your bonus action and expend one inspiration die to attempt to frighten the target. You add the inspiration die to the attack’s damage roll.
- Lyric of the Lingering Laggard - When you hit a creature with a spell or weapon attack, you can spend your bonus action and expend one inspiration die to attempt to slow the creature’s movement.
- Provoking Chorus - Use an action to direct one of your companions to strike. When you do so, choose a friendly creature who can hear you and expend one inspiration die. That creature can immediately use its reaction to make one weapon attack, adding the inspiration die to the attack’s damage roll.
- Shielding Melody - Use a bonus action and expend one inspiration die, adding your max inspiration die roll to your AC until the end of your turn.
- Sonic Riposte - When a creature misses you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction and expend one inspiration die to make a spell attack against the creature’s AC. If you hit, you do thunder damage equal to the result of inspiration die roll plus your charisma modifier.
- Song of the Whimpering Strike - Use a bonus action and expend one bardic inspiration die to weaken your target’s next successful melee attack. If the target does not make a successful wisdom saving throw, it rolls twice the damage dice on the next melee attack it hits on, but takes the lower result for each damage dice of the melee attack.
- Verse of the Vigorous Champion - Use a bonus action and expend one inspiration die to bolster the resolve of one of your companions. When you do so, choose a friendly creature who can hear you. That creature gains temporary hit points equal to your max inspiration die roll.
Level 7
- Spiderwalk - You are not slowed down by web surfaces, and can't be Enwebbed by them.
- Find Familiar: Spider - You can summon a spider familiar.
- Song of Infestation - While this song is active, any creature within 3m of you will be webbed and infested with tiny spiders dealing 1d4 piercing damage each turn.
- Chant of the Spider - Places a web containing 3 spiders at the target location and has a chance to frighten those in the target radius. The web and spiders remain for 4 turns, the spiders will do your bidding during this time.
- Siphon of the Dark Whisper - you are able to draw on music in your soul to fuel your Bae’qeshel magic, you may use an action to replenish your Bardic Inspiration. Usable once per long rest.
