20 magical multicolored dyes, with palettes ranging from subtle and delicate, to wild bursts of multicolor. Inspired by nature, the game itself, and even classic mods for older games.

Greetings, and welcome to my shop! I am Wynne; these are my wondrous wares.

You probably won't have heard of me, but I'm a sometime adventurer myself. During the time of Troubles this old half-elf landed a few choice stage roles, both out in the world and right here in Baldur's Gate. I played heroes and villains, thieves and mages, all decked with the right colors to express each character's personality... so many underestimate the importance of hue. An avid love of color is why I converted this old theater into a charming little shop, to host my special wares. There's nothing worse than being a remarkable adventurer, trapped in dull equipment like common bandits and thugs, wouldn't you say? Many old friends have told me so.

Even if you didn't buy them yourself, my wares find their way to those who need them, and deserve them. You may find they aid your morale, if not your luck.

Okay, flavor text complete; down to business. This mod adds a trim 20 (or as of V2, 21) multicolored dyes to the game. They are not bundled in-game because I only barely know what I am doing. If I figure out how, I'll add a bundle version later. You'll find these dyes in the tutorial chest and at the usual major vendors. They have color themes like seasons, Solasta's scale mails, classes (Barbarian Barrage and Eldritch Phantasm), and even classic mods like T2X.

These dyes were tested and refined extensively as you can see from the screenshots, both with and without HDR. Mostly without, because HDR in Larian games tends to randomly turn my whole screen magenta with neon accents and only turning my monitor off and on again, or HDR itself, will fix it. If any dyes seem to need tinkering, you can tell me, and I might possibly refine them. If you enjoy these, let me know; I might add extras in the future.

Confession, though: I am not a very technical person. I am just a timid baby modder squalling in the wilderness. This mod would literally never have existed without AstralSprout's dye guide (and my love of the dyes AS made) and MANOLOV02's awesome dye creation tool. My gratitude is boundless, because I always wanted to customize dyes but had zero clues about the process. Have a good color sense? You, too, can be a modder! Go check out those tools and go wild. Just be wary, or like me you will lose an entire 72+ hours like they just didn't happen once you get absorbed into the creation process. I did a ton of loading and reloading and deletions and edits which probably wasn't remotely necessary. It was fun. It was exhausting. This is the result.

Kinda goes without saying, but please don't reupload them or use them as templates; I started from scratch/Larian's bases and it was tons of work, but felt right to do. I have a whole new appreciation for modders after all this! Seriously, all respect; this is hard work done for no money and shared with others out of pure love for the experience. Thank you so much for all you've done to better the experiences of BG3 players everywhere.

Mods used in screenshots: ASTRL's Fantasy Skintones/Hair Colors, Dulcet Bodies (for my thicc tiefling lady), Vesnelle Hairs, Faces of Faerun, Some New Horns, Mari's Tattooes, Astarion's Early Access Outfit, Purchasable Camp Clothes and Underwear, Coven's Makeup Colours, LVNDR's Makeup and Tattoo colors, Ren's Fantasia Hairs, Native Camera Tweaks, Solar Body 2 Head Preset, Astarion Colour Edits (Matching Lashes, Dark Red Scleras), Fancy Dresses... and last but not at all least, Yves' Hair Gallery. Think that's all. If I missed any, please let me know so I can credit them.

Companion Recommendations: Astarion looks best in cool colors like Periwinkle, Karlach/Laezel in warm like the Spring and Autumn dyes, and Wyll/Shadowheart/Gale look better in warmish tones but can wear anything, really.

Now I will pointlessly describe the dyes for that one person that likes to read instead of look at pictures. :)

1. Magenta Sunset, cool-toned. Inspired by the computer wallpaper I haven't changed in years because it's so pretty: a very pink sunset with magenta-violet clouds and purple-blue waves. Yes, that is an Opeth reference in the description.

2. Glorious Forest, mixed neutral. Predominantly green as you'd expect. Evergreens and leaf shades, with hints of purple-red berry and towering wood; oh my! Flatters cloth in particular.

3. Carmine Kiss, cool-toned. Pinkish-red and purplish-red with some blue accents on the metal.

4. Indigo Explosion, cool. Bright purple-blue with little hints of aqua, electric blue, plum purple, and periwinkle. Flatters EVERYTHING. A personal favorite. Why are there so few gorgeous rich blue dyes, even in so many otherwise fantastic dye mods? Let's fix that.

5. Zaya Palette, coolish neutral. Black with blue-violet, plum, and green. Directly inspired by lighting in the art and screenshots for Thief 2X: Shadows of the Metal Age. Flatters leather in particular, naturally. Designed with love and care, in honor of a reluctant thief trying to be stronger than she was in the face of tragedy.

6. Syndrana Shades, neutral. Every shade of villainous purple with silver-blade accents, inspired by my first ever evil character in BG. Cheers if you remember that hammy fanmade soundset. Everyone needs a puppy. Somebody put that on Maslow's hierarchy.

7. Blushing Bhaalspawn, coolish neutral of pastels with black and deep red accents. Named after the fanmade Innocent soundset for the first two games. Inspired by the first two games.

8. Alecain Red, warmish neutral. Inspired by Tactical Adventures' Solasta: Crown of the Magister. I loved the story and sidequest for the sellsword background, and hope to see Tactical Adventures follow in Larian's footsteps. Alec was my rift sorcerer sellsword in Solasta, who became a whole character in my head along with his companions. Colors are inspired by the +1 and +2 scale mail colors in that game: predominantly red and gold like the +2, but with slight turquoise and black accents mimicking the +1 version.

9. Rainbow Splash, yes. I stopped caring about warm versus cool for this one. Love it on my gith monk especially. If you were traumatized by a sad beige parent in childhood, here is your color therapy. Go wild.

10. Tantalizing Turquoise, neutral. Mimics all the colors of a turquoise geode. Works if you like peacocks, too.

11. Autumn Blaze, warm colors as you'd expect. Fall in a bottle.

12. Icy Blood, cool as you'd expect. Frozen blue, deep maroon. Striking on leather and cloth.

13. Peaceful Periwinkle, cool-toned grey-violet-blue pastels. Another personal favorite.

14. Rowdy Red-Brown, warmish neutral. A more earthy palette.

15. Eldritch Phantasm, extremely cool in every sense of the word. One of my favorites. It's so much fun for a sporekeeper druid/GOOlock, or a necromancer, or just about any character emitting spooky Lovecraftian vibes.

16. Spring Symphony, warm tones. Seems nicest on clothing.

17. Sad Beige, neutral, and my most embarrassing dye. I am a colorphile who created it as a total cheeky joke, but ended up unironically loving it. This dye is just PERFECT for certain characters and items.

18. Summer Court, cool tones. Inspired by the season and faerie court.

19. Winter Court, cool tones. Inspired by the season and faerie court.

20. Barbarian Barrage, warmish neutral, and it's all in the name. Colors of dried blood, dirt, leaves, and thrown chairs.

And if you're still here after all that, could be you're familiar with a couple of names I mentioned or didn't mention, like Kelsey, Syndrana, Innocent, Lilla, Ceara, Zaya, Viktoria. Hi there, fellow classic games fan! Hope you enjoy these dyes. :)
