Ages ago, in a time long since lost to history, a blacksmith of immeasurable talent put his skills to the test, attempting to forge the deadliest weapon of his career. Deadly not just for the damage it could inflict, but for its accessibility and ease of use by most swordsmen. The result was a shortsword as beautiful as it was deadly, able to rend and sunder flesh without effort, and even pierce the toughest of dragon scales.
This is that shortsword, the work of a true master, crafted with a skill unseen and unheard of in modern times.
I couldn't help but notice that the most powerful melee weapons were two-handed beasts that required high STR to use properly. Sure, there were still some strong DEX-based weapons, but they often had some gimmicks to it that required a certain playstyle to use to the fullest. Alternatively, there were some notable DEX-based melee powerhouses, but they usually required extra resources to reach that damage output. (I'm looking at you monk, with your damned Ki points.)
So I decided to give DEX builds a melee option that provided raw power, no frills and no strings attached. And this is what came of it: a shortsword that fits right in with Act 3's heaviest hitters.
LOCATION
Tutorial potion chest on the nautiloid, of course. If on an existing save, the tutorial chest summoning mod will be required.
INSTALLATION
Same as any other equipment mod, either with a mod manager, or extracting the "Generated" folder and copy-pasting it into the game's "Data" folder.
COMPATIBILITIES
Pretty much everything, since nothing in game is edited, and it exists solely in that chest.

- Base damage is equivalent to a +0 greatsword
- Weapon is considered magical for the purpose of bypassing physical resistances
- Uses the +2 shortsword model to fit the theme of "beautiful but deadly"
- Ensures Astarion can actually defend himself when his stealth attempts fail
