More charming than a familiar, less baggage than a companion, Bufo the acid-spitting frog is the perfect friend to take with you on your adventures.
Bufo begins his adventures just a tad tougher than a frog familiar and gains a bit of experience as you do, eventually becoming, well, still pretty squishy, but you can summon him again tomorrow!
Bufo’s acid splash cantrip grows with summoner level and he can cast hypnotic gaze once per long rest (beware the hypnotoad).
When not keeping you company, Bufo lives in his teapot. When you want to call him forth to spit acid at things just go to your inventory and interact with the teapot to get the option to cast his summon spell.
The teapot can be purchased from Ethel in the Grove or can be found in the tutorial chest, and Bufo appreciates you getting him out of there.
