Step into my Dhampir subrace, meticulously crafted as an addition to half-elves. Explore the diverse origins drawn from Pathfinder, offering four compelling facets of the enigmatic Dhampir race.
All of them have specific stats modifiers and different spells.
You will find:
Jiang-Shi-born: +2 Str, +2 Int, –2 Dex, erase (changed it to Remove curse)
A ru-shi, also known as jiang-shi-born, typically arises from a dark ritual or a magically influenced parent rather than direct human-jiang-shi interaction. Unlike jiang-shis, they lack natural desires for physical contact or procreation due to their putrefying internal organs, making conception difficult. Ru-shis exhibit gray skin, regardless of sunlight exposure, and their eyes have light irises and pupils. Their movements are often stiff and awkward. While some possess exceptional mathematical or linguistic abilities, others may reject such talents, harboring bitterness towards anything reminiscent of their monstrous origins.
Vetala-Born: +2 Dex, +2 Int, –2 Wis, comprehend languages (changed it to Detect thought)
Ajibachanas, the offspring of vetalas and dhampirs, are born from curiosity or experimentation rather than mating. Gifted with sharp minds, they are inquisitive and precocious, driven by a thirst for knowledge. Despite their vampire ancestry, ajibachanas, unlike their parents, have mortality driving them to learn quickly. While they lack the ability to change bodies like vetalas, they compensate with exceptional skills in dance or contortion. Many choose ascetic lifestyles, prioritizing knowledge over material wealth and avoiding the covetous nature of their vampiric ancestors.
Nosferatu-Born +2 Str, +2 Wis, -2,doom (changed it to blight)
Ancient-born, resulting from a union between nosferatu, are too horrifying for most to fathom. Their appearance reflects their deep-seated hatred for humanity, manifesting as misshapen, sallow, and painfully thin features. Subjected to abuse from their disgusted peers due to their physical weakness, ancient-born individuals bear scars easily and bruise readily. Lacking the gift of immortality, their unsettling appearance makes societal integration challenging. Often chased from their homes, they may seek isolation, revenge, or embark on adventures for self-glorification or destruction.
Moroi-Born: +2 Str, +2 Cha, -2 Con, obscuring mist (changed it to darkness)
Dhampirs descended from the Vampire King are rare in the extreme. Incredibly beautiful but strikingly grim shades that straddle the line between humanity and vampirekind, sacred ancestry dhampirs are often single-minded loners intent on a specific goal. Svetochers are dhampirs with moroi ancestry, inheriting charm and beauty from their vampiric forebears. They navigate mortal society more easily but must be cautious of breeding jealousy. Born into nobility due to undead connections, some svetochers face societal rejection, while others may be abandoned by less scrupulous aristocrats. Moroi parents rarely care for their half-breed offspring, leaving some to seek out abandoned children in villages.
I will try to turn this subrace into a race itself later, and add icons to it.
