About this mod

Haste now functions as an aura. Allies gain haste for 1-3 turns (spell level 3-6-9) on entering, leaving, or starting their turn within the aura.

Permissions and credits
Looping VFX/SFX, concentration, lethargic effect, combat log, and overhead buff notifications have been disabled in all versions.  Haste is a ritual spell in all versions (to function like other auras).  Aura radius starts at 3m and increases by 1m per upcast for all versions.  If the caster is silenced or incapacitated the aura will deactivate, requiring a recast.  Allies under the effects of the aura will retain their buff for how ever many turns they have remaining.

Four versions are available.  Changes to the haste buff status itself apply to all sources of haste.

Rebalanced (intended version): Removed AC and dex advantage, movement bonus reduced from 9m to 3m.

Rebalanced Bonus: Same as above with an additional bonus action as well.

Vanilla: No changes to the buff (except VFX/SFX etc. removal)

Vanilla Bonus: I have confidence in your powers of deduction.

Add-ons are available to re-enable concentration, remove ritual casting, or both.  Use only one add-on file and load after the main file.

I made this mod for the purpose of (almost) maintaining balance while eliminating the tedium of constant rebuffing \ resting.
I strongly dislike the long \ short rest system and favor a more fluid gameplay experience closer to Divinity: Original Sin 2, so I made it a ritual.
Haste is so powerful that you would never even consider concentrating on any other spell with your wizard \ sorcerer, which is why I decided to
remove the concentration requirement.

Haste in particular has been a tough skill for me to balance in my mod list.  The only real way to truly balance the haste buff without fundamentally changing the skill is to devalue action points in general by adding more to enemies using https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/3719 or similar mods, and to make action points easier to access for players using mods like https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/1243?tab=description.  The removal of the extra attack mechanic also makes a single action point much less impactful for weapon attacks.  With configurable enemies set to +1-2 action points, and extra actions instead of extra attacks, I feel that this mod is as close to balanced as possible while still providing a huge quality of life buff.

Now you won't have to feel obligated to constantly check vendors to buy potions of speed (they a still nice to have in a pinch, though).

The first update will be to fix tooltips (currently unchanged from vanilla) and to remove the aura from the caster when silenced. DONE

1.1.0 is probably the final version, I'm quite satisfied with the way the mod turned out.  I'm starting work on a comprehensive buff overhaul in a similar vein as this mod.  My plan is to convert most buffs to auras, and to create groups that are mutually exclusive to cast (i.e. resistance buffs, movement buffs, damage buffs etc.) so you can't just have a cleric strung up like a Christmas Tree, encouraging class diversity.

Buffs to Auras has arrived!

Feedback is always appreciated.

1.2.0 update:  Fixed an issue with the buff being removed in dialogue
