Now with new armours for Minthara and Minsc too!

I hate having to change companions out of their iconic starter armours 2 seconds after recruiting them because I found some ugly chain mail that is just mechanically way better.
So I made new versions of them with good stats and passives so I can keep them in their classic drip.
Tried not to make them too OP. But..... ya know. There are some great vanilla armours, some companions get special ones from their quests and I still enjoy switching them over to those later in the game, so I didn't want mine to be so good that it wasn't worth making use of those too. Minthara of course already has the Spidersilk armour which is great but I have made her another version due to requests.
Anyone can wear any of them, including your Tav. These can all be dyed just like the base versions. Kept the rating of the original armours (clothing is still clothing, light armour is still light armour, medium armour is still medium armour) but improved AC in some cases.

Install by dropping the .pak(s) into your Mods folder and using Mod Manager. These are not replacements. You can find them in the tutorial chest on the Nautiloid, or spawn the tutorial chest with wesslen's Tutorial Summoning Mod. Only the All In One file also puts them in vendor inventories: guy in the Grove in act 1, Gith Quartermaster in act 2 and Danthelon's Dancing Axe in act 3. The All In One file adds a container called Iconic Companion Armours with OOMPH Chest into the tutorial chest and vendor inventories. You may need to do a long rest to see vendor inventories update.
You can also spawn them in with their UUIDs:

Please let me know if anything doesn't work as it should. I am still very new to modding so I might have missed something somewhere.
Hope someone else enjoys these!

If you aren't interested in my stats and just want to give the starter armours the stats of another vanilla armour, I recommend the mod Transmog Enhanced by Eralyne.
To do:
  • figure out how to make the armours into replacements of the starter gear
  • make new versions of unique companion gloves and boots too
