Permissions and credits
Grandma's Jewelry

Preface
I've created this mod for myself because I like to (role)play as a caster, who is capable to fight with a staff and martial arts.
My plan was, after I finish my current playthrough, that in my next playthrough Shadowheart would get the ring... But now I think that Shadowheart has to wait a playthrough longer so I can use it again for my main character. ;)
I have a lot of fun playing with it, I hope you will have it too.

Compatibility
This mod should be compatible with anything.

Installation
Install with BG3ModManager.

Where to obtain
Grandma's ring can be found in the Tutorial Chest (Act 0 or Tutorial Chest Summoning)

Introduction
You have found grandma's jewelry in a box in the attic.
Grandma used to be the last guardian of the old monastery... At least that's what your mother used to tell.

Grandma's ring looks like a ordinary ring, maybe you can get some money for it. Let's see if it fits your finger...

Just by equipping the ring you will receive the following:

Guardian of the monastery
The guardians of a monastery were often monks who learned to defend and protect themselves (and others) with staves or spears.

Dexterous Attacks
Attacks with a staff or a spear or unarmed attacks scale with your Dexterity instead of your Strength if your Dexterity is higher.

Sixth Sense
You gain a +3 bonus to initiative and can't be surprised.
You can even sense the things you can't see

While equipped with a staff or a spear (and the ring of course) you gain the following:

At Character Level 1

Defend with a stick
You have learned to defend and protect yourself with a staff or spear, making it harder for your attackers to land a successful blow.

You really need a very lucky hit to Disarm you opponent.
