UPDATE THAT I'M PROBABLY PUTTING OUT TOO LATE LMAO: patch 5 (and any subsequent patches after that) officially borked the way body textures work for everyone including withers. if you download and install this mod as explained down below, you will only get the smooth face, but the body will remain the same. since this is a joke mod i made an hour i probably won't be updating it lol sorry to any handsome withersheads out there

how 2 install (and uninstall) this cursed artifact
drop the "Generated" folder into C:/Program Files (x86)/Baldurs Gate 3/Data, or if your game is installed with Steam, C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data. to uninstall, simply delete the folder and withers will go back to his shriveled self. but why would you want to get rid of such stunning beauty?
if you decide to go digging through the files, be warned of possible spoilers for withers's backstory (ifykyk)
