Changelogs
Version 1.1
Fixes an issue causing the +2/+1 stat selection not to appear for druids with this mod installed.
Version 1.0
Initial release.
It strikes me as odd that, despite their close ties to nature, Druids need to specifically choose to prepare Speak with Animals, and they aren't any better at it than anyone else. So - two birds, one stone, and here we are!
New Passive: Animal Whisperer
As a druid, communicating with beasts comes second nature to you - pun intended. You always have Speak with Animals prepared, and when making Persuasion, Deception, or Intimidation checks against beasts, you have Advantage.
Granted at level 1 to all druids, Animal Whisperer makes sure that you are 'always prepared' to talk to your furry friends, and that you're better at doing it than anyone else!
I originally wanted to do something funky like adding your Animal Handling skill to the check (to take advantage of the fact that, as a druid, you should be good at that anyway) but this seemed easier to pull off. And, yes, the advantage applies only to things that are considered beasts.
Install/Uninstall Looks safe to install on existing saves, and doesn't appear to require a respec for the passive to take effect. As for uninstalling, I haven't tested it but I would strongly recommend chatting to Withers and respeccing your druids to something else before uninstalling, just to play it safe.
Compatibility Incompatible with any mod that also edits level 1 druids, such as Druid Unleashed. I might create compatibility versions later on down the line but for now I'm just relieved the mod works on its own.
