Ambusher

Ambushers are careful tacticians that use the art of surprise to gain the advantage before the enemy ever knows danger is near. These combatants find preferred strategies for their ambushes, and gain powerful benefits when they play to those strengths.

Gain Advantage on all Attacks on the first turn of Combat.

Level 2:

  • Select 2 spells from the Ambusher Spell List.

Features:
  • Ambusher's Arsenal
You gain access to an array of damaging traps (glyphs) with various effects. These traps use an Ambusher's Arsenal Charge. You gain 2 Ambusher's Arsenal Charges at level 2, and a third at level 6. Ambusher's Arsenal Charges refill upon a Short Rest.
  • Concussive Trap
A Trap that explodes with concussive force, dealing 1d10 Force Damage and potentially Stunning any victims.
  • Incendiary Trap
A Trap that combusts into flames, dealing 2d8 Fire Damage, creating a Fire Surface, and potentially Burning any victims.
**NOTE: Traps will only be triggered by ENEMIES, so units with a neutral attitude (yellow highlight) will not trigger them

  • Gain an additional Ambusher's Arsenal Charge.

  • Launching Trap
A Trap that deals 3d10 Thunder Damage and launches enemies away.
  • Poison Trap
A Trap that deals 4d10 Poison Damage, creates a Poison Cloud, and may Poison the victims for an extended period of time.

A Trap that explodes and sends fragmentation everywhere, dealing 5d12 Piercing Damage and potentially causing any victims to Bleed.

Sudden Striker

A quick and deadly attacker that uses the enemies' surprise as an opportunity to dispatch of them with deadly efficiency.

Debilitator

A careful attacker that uses debilitating surprises to gain the advantage in battle.


Progression:

Level 3:

  • Cull the Weak: Debilitator
Gain Advantage on all Attacks against debilitated enemies.

Level 7:

Features:
  • While They're Down
Once per turn, when you inflict a Condition, gain an Extra Attack.

Level 11:

Features:
  • Delightful Debilitation
Cycling every turn, you mark a Condition which you would like to apply to enemies. Whenever you apply the marked Condition, you also deal 2d8 Piercing Damage.
