Trashcan
If you see this mod uploaded anywhere else, know that it was stolen. I would like the person to take down their version and contact me before uploading it anywhere
Overview of the mod
This mod is what the description and pictures gives you! It is a mod that deletes the items you want to get rid of.
All you need to do is simply drag your unwanted items over to the trashcan.
(NOTE: After the new update, I had to change how the mod works so now you do not need to put the trashcan down on the floor to get it to delete multiple items. It got fixed with the specific commands called "ReadyCheckSpecific")
If you started a new campaign - save and reload your save, then the Trashcan should be spawned in your inventory
This should work with both normal items and modded items, so it is extremely useful if you have a mod you need to uninstall safely, which added modded items in your game.
- If you manage to throw away the trashcan:
- Then save
- Close game
- Delete the mod
- Open your game to your save and save
- Then close your game and reinstall the mod.
- It will be given back to your character
It works in Multiplayer AS LONG as its in someone's inventory.
Trashcan with Item Shipment Framework:
This is an alternative to the people wanting the mod to spawned in, in the tutorial chest. However, this mod will not spawn in the tutorial chest, but in the travellers chest in camp! This is now done with AV Item Shipment Framework.
HOWEVER: DO NOT USE BOTH THE ORIGNAL TRASHCAN AND TRASHCAN WITH ITEM SHIPMENT FRAMEWORK:
Having both can ruin both mods. However I gave the mods different UUID's, so the mods will BOTH show up in BG3MM. This was done to make sure the mods will NOT reset your modsetting file, and reset your load order.
For issues, I recommend going to the post, as I have a longer post explaining issues there.
Requirement:
Original Trashcan: You will need Script Extender
Script extender is by Norbyte and can be found on Github (press link above)
Fyi: After Patch 7, mod fixer is no longer needed and should be deleted
(Note: It will not work without Script Extender as it deletes the item through Script Extender and the trashcan itself is given to your main character through Script Extender)
Trashcan with Item shipment framework:
You will still need script extender, and mod fixer. However you will also need these two mods:
Volition Cabinet 1.5
AV Item Shipment Framework
You will need both of them!
Install:
Install using BG3 Mod Manager OR Vortex.
I recommend BG3 Mod Manager as it is used and tested on there.
This mod should not have a mod conflict, but if you find one please report it to me or Faane; either here on Nexus or on the Official Larian Discord Server where I am active.
The permissions have been released! After a good thinking, I will never return to the BG3 Modding scene because of how toxic it was & how it affected me mentally. As of writing this (9th January 2025) the mod is working flawlessly and does not need an update. If it breaks after this date, I will not be updating it.
HOWEVER: Some rules as I do not want this mod to be 'stolen' and put on another website than Nexus (as what happened to my mod Trashcan).
If Faane ever comes back to the modding scene: the mod is his. He will decide the permissions & the future of the mod.
You MUST leave a comment if you take over this mod. This way I can link to the new mod page & ensure credibility.
You MUST give credits to Faane, Eralyne, FallenStar & me. Faane & I worked hard on this mod for days before releasing the first version, with the help of the amazing Eralyne. When it needed updating, FallenStar was quick to give guidance and the solution to a problem. I spent days researching how to update as well, so we all deserve the credit for the time it took making this.
You can ONLY release the mod on Nexus and possibly mod.io if you use the Mod Tools to rebuild it. I do not want my mods on other sites, please be understanding.
As a reminder, I presume the stolen version is still on an anti LGBT website, and know it was stolen without permission & I received death threats for asking them to take it down. Therefore those who put it up on that website or is supporting that website will NOT have the same permission as anyone else.
(PS: If you're the person who stole Trashcan, I will never agree to you
putting Trashcan or Colorful Words up anywhere else or on Nexus. The day you stole this mod, is the day those perms got revoked)
