Here is a somewhat lengthy way of switching from Wayden's original mod to this one. Requires Basket full of Equipment. Obviously requires the original items from which you extracted appearances to redo the transmogs once you switch over to Transmog Enhanced.
0. Save the game. If something goes wrong, at least you'll have this spot to revert to. 1. With Wayden's mod still installed, use the Appearance Extractor dagger to revert ALL of your transmogged items to original appearance. 2. Gather up all of the extracted appearances and the Appearance Extractor on one character. 3. Use the Basket Summon talisman to summon a Ghost Basket of Equipment. 4. Put all of the extracted appearances and the appearance extractor into the Ghost Basket. 5. Wait for the Ghost Basket to disappear (10 turns). 6. Save the game in a new slot. 7. Quit BG3, uninstall all of Wayden's mod files. 8. Load BG3, load your save from Step 6. 9. Save the game into a new slot. This is your "clean" save with Wayden's mod uninstalled. 10. Install Transmog Enhanced. 11. Load the save from step 9. You should receive the crystal and the flower on load. 12. Use the crystal to redo all of your transmogs. I hope you haven't thrown away the original items from which you previously extracted appearance.
Huge props to Wayden and Eralyne for cooperating on this mod.
any way to have items keep their armour type? im trying to transmog my sorc robes to look like some light armour, but now im unable to cast spells bc it gives the robes the light armour property and my sorc isnt proficient in that.
Same issue here. Never realised it in my previous playthrough. The transmog'ed item has shows the right armor type below it's name (e.g., Simple Robe / Clothing) but at the bottom of the tooltip it shows "[Shield Icon] Light Armor", preventing me from casting with my sorcerer
@ikonic101 Yeah, this is probably why the mod description tells you to save and reload after you transmog an item... So you can avoid things like this happening lol
A bit buggy with patch 8, transmog seems to be working fine but when you use the "hide appearance" ring it only hides the item on your inventory preview screen and you have to reload - minor issue
I'm also seeing a minor bug after patch 8 where the type of armor gets changed when I transmog the appearance to armor of a different type. As with the above bug, this gets fixed if I save and reload; but it freaked me out for a minute.
The issue is not related to Patch #8 is how this mod has always been, when you transmog x item you should always reload because it can temporary turn armor/weapons into a different type but can get solved by reloading your save, i have over 1000 hours with this mod in my list and never had any issues
That's completely anecdotal. I have lots of hours with the mod as well and never had this issue until patch 8. But I'm not going to throw an absolute statement in because my experience is obviously not yours. See how that works?
If you go to the files tab, where you downloaded the "hide appearance ring" optional mod, the description of the file tells you to save/reload after you use it on an item. So, that's just how the mod works, it's not a new bug with patch 8 lol (that description was there before patch 8 as well)
My pact/hex weapon that ive transmog'd loses its status after a reload. Currently using a mod that auto casts bind pact weapon at the start of every turn for free but its not an ideal solution.
is there a way i can use this mod for mac? I downloaded and used BGC Mod Manager, but somehow it's not showing up in the in-game mod manager under the installed tab. Probably because I don't have the script extender which is not available for mac...
It is not recognizing that I have the script extender installed. I can't use the mod. I downloaded it from the link and followed instructions and then tried it the second way through the mod manager. Still getting the red icon. Edit: NVM I am an idiot and figured it out.
Having just a slight issue that I thought I would see if anyone had some insight on. The mod used to work fine for me, but after patch 8, the TE_Hide ring doesn't function properly. I can still use it with the transmog crystal, and the newly transmogged item's name changes to "Gold Ring", but the item simply isn't hidden on the in game model, even though it appears to be on the inventory menu. Any advice? Thanks
EDIT: Soultion found. After you transmog into the ring, simply save and then load. Worked for me. The savegame image in the menu will still show your character wearing the thing you tried to hide, but once the game reloads the asset it becomes invisible, in my experience.

If you somehow lost the items, please use these Script Extender console commands to get them back:
Crystal (Transmog Appearance)
TemplateAddTo("e64e7287-d830-44a9-bbf9-0903a1cb48ec", GetHostCharacter(), 1)
Flower (Reset Appearance)
TemplateAddTo("421dfd89-ae60-4f1e-bd7c-14463bfd50b5", GetHostCharacter(), 1)
Ring (Hide Appearance)
TemplateAddTo("b3f22ee2-e1be-4b82-beb1-195d8bf41e01", GetHostCharacter(), 1)

I haven't play for 6 month.
But I am nearly sure that I can do this before with this mod.
I forget something ?
Anyway, someone has an idea to have underwear in armor slot ?
Thx :)
