About this mod

You can now move faster and can configure how much faster you go, pretty cool right? Yeah? Yeah. Default is doubled speed

So I was playing the game and noticed that I felt pretty slow, this was, in fact, because I was pretty slow, so I made the mod and now I'm not slow anymore.

This mod should now work in multiplayer!

Demo with 4* speed, the default is x2, it's configurable, read the stuff below to know how, or don't if you're fine with x2 speed.



FEATURES :

  • Your run speed in multiplied by the amount specified in the config file, default is *2
  • Speed is set to normal in combat, except if you don't want that, it's configurable. 
  • Separate multipliers for combat(if enabled) & exploration
  • Separate multipliers for enemies
  • Climbing speed is increased too
  • Sneaking has normal speed, unless you want it to be fast, see configuration below. 
  • Applies to summons too, but they're still fucking stupid and can't path for their life, but oh! Look at that! Someone made a spell that teleports your party and summons to you! It's right here aint that a lucky coincidence! I really need to thank the mod author for this one.


DISCLAIMER :
If something breaks because you went zoomzoom a bit too fast that's on you.

As usual, save often, it's free, and it will save your ass more often than not, if anything breaks let me know.

INSTALLATION :

Requires : BG3 Script Extender You can easily install it via BG3 Mod Manager



Installation : use BG3 Mod Manager 

Uninstallation : Uninstall the mod, done.

Compatibility : Everything, probably? :)

CONFIGURATION :

Configuration files will be generated on the first loading (and again if you delete them, just load any save and you'll get some default ones back). You can find them at: 

AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Script Extender\Fall_RunSpeed\

To easily go there you can press the windows key + R and enter "%localappdata%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Script Extender" inside the run box (folders will only exist if SE is installed and you've loaded a save with the mod installed before.) (it won't be in french, unless you are french, in which case ça sera en français)


  • config.json :  currently configurable values are :
  • These multipliers exist for : Exploration, Combat (party) and Combat (Enemy)
  • Combat multipliers will only be applied if COMBAT_ENABLED is set to 1
  • "MovementSpeedMultiplier" : any number, default 2.0, how much faster a character goes relative to base speed, it can be a fractional number so 1.5 for 50% will work
  • "ClimbSpeedMultiplier" : any number, default 2.0, how much faster a character will climb stuff, it can be a fractional number so 1.5 for 50% will work
  • "AccelerationMultiplier" : any number, default 2.0, how fast a character goes from walking to running, probably, maybe. 
  • "SNEAKING_ENABLED" : 0 or 1, default 0, set to 1 to multiply the walk & sneaking speed too.
  • "COMBAT_ENABLED" : 0 or 1, default 0, set to 1 to keep the speed boost in combat, this doesn't increase your range of movement. Enables the use of the Combat_Enemy_XXX multipliers.
  • "LOG_ENABLED" : 0 or 1, default 0, set to 1 to create log files in the same folder as the config file, will help me figure out bugs if you encounter some.
