Rebalance throwing, shoving, and ranged in a more realistic and stat diverse way.

Permissions and credits
So you can't throw a grown man until strength level 20, but you can shove him 6 @%!# meters away at strength 14.. That ain't right.


  • Reduced max throwing distance
  • Reduced max shoving distance
  • Increased diversity of ranged weapons

In vanilla, shove distance is unrealistically high and caps out at the low value of 14 strength (12 is virtually the same) With this mod, shoving is much less effective below strength 16 and continues to benefit from strength increases until 20.

Example:
Vanilla shove with strength= 8(1m) 10(2m) 12(5m) 14+(6m)
Modded shove with strength= 12 or less(1m) 14(2m) 16(2.5m) 18(3m) 20(4m)


Throw distance has been reduced for game balance and to emphasize use of a ranged weapon or spell instead.


Throwing tiny objects (like potions) are always capped, but larger objects will now benefit from increased strength up to 22.

Example:
Vanilla throw large object with strength= 10(3m) 12(6m) 14(10m) 16(15m) 18+(18m)
Modded throw large object with strength= 10(3m) 12(4m) 14(5m) 16(7m) 18(8m) 20(10m) 22+(12m)


Changes to ranged weapons are pretty straightforward, their range is changed slightly to set them apart and to coincide with the shorter throwing distance. 

throw distance: reduced from 18m to 12m

shove distance: reduced from 6m to 4m

long bow: increased from 18m to 20m

heavy crossbow: unchanged 18m

short bow: reduced from 18m to 17m

light crossbow: reduced from 18m to 17m

hand crossbow: increased from 15m to 16m

sling: reduced from 18m to 15m

dart: reduced from 18m to 14m
