About this mod

A ready-to-export decor resource that you can tweak to your preference.

This kit is still in the trial-and-error stage, and feedback is very welcome.

The goal of making this kit is to provide a beginner-friendly setup for those who want to start making custom decor items, but don't know where to start. For these purposes, this kit contains:

- 5 "basic" tents (recolorable)
- 14 framed paintings where you can easily swap the canvases for your own motif (recolorable frames, and they stick to walls)
- 2 blank canvases
- 2 pouches with custom textures
- 3 dyes and 1 dye remover (all are infinite use)

It also contains some helpful extra resources:

- A 30-page guide, including instructions on what you need to do to turn the kit into a fully publishable mod of your own
- My edited textures & models, which you are free to use in your own projects (see my conditions)
- A small selection of extra textures and 3D-models to get you started (Larian originals)

I will mostly be teaching you how to make and export mods the "old school" way using the MultiTool and give you an overview of how items are coded, but there will also be a info on how to load mods into Larian's Toolkit for testing. This is because I think it's extremely useful to have an idea of how files are set up "under the hood" when working with the toolkit, so you'll know how to watch out for file bloat, etc, when you work with it in the future (a very common issue with mods uploaded to Mod.io, i've noticed). This kit is also designed so that you'll have the satisfaction of just fiddling with some textures and seeing immediate results ingame (since you can export the files right away), which I believe is more motivational for someone whos's new to modding compared to having to learn how to navigate the toolkit first.

Things I especially want feedback on right now:

- Are the paintings too difficult to place ingame? How would you like to tweak them?
- Are there errors or typos in the guide?
- Is the guide beginner-friendly enough?
- Are there bugs in the (exportable) modkit itself?

Tips are very much appreciated, but in no way expected. I mostly make mods for personal use, and I enjoy sharing them for the lovely feedback :)
