Credit to Guigodead for his wonderful mod and for allowing us all to work with it. This mod turns smaller shields into equippable items for the musical instrument. They don't provide AC and are merely cosmetic. However, it allows you to wear a stylish piece at all times without having to see it during breaks and cinematics like it's underwear.

The mod does not give AC, however the passives of the items and their bonuses do.
Some things to know: This mod works similarly to Visible-Shield, so they aren't compatible. It's also a simple mod, so you'll see a lot of clipping and the shield moving to the side when you operate two-handed weapons with your off-hand (a sample is in the images), but a lot of this also happens with specific builds. For example, I haven't seen clipping with the Gith's greataxe, but I have seen it with the greatsword when they enter combat. In any case, remember that you can hide the instrument by pressing the corresponding button (the one that comes by default in the game) at any time, so it won't ruin your combat.
If you liked the mod I recommend checking out my other animation mods that come with this one:
