Hi all I'm back again, I guess I've got the tattoo making bug.
I wanted to make some musical themed tattoos so here they are, a set of 24 face tattoos for your Bards (or music lovers) ranging from subtle to ridiculous.
This tattoo mod was made with UTAV in mind. I couldn't seem to get it to work as a replacer, so for now UTAV is required.
If you run into problems let me know, though go easy on me as I'm still new to modding anything.
For installation extract the zip and drop the "Generated" folder into your "Data" folder which should look something like this:
(disk:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data)
If you are interested in only one (or a couple) of the tattoos. I'm willing to make some custom DDS files if there's a vanilla tattoo you don't want replaced.
⋆ When using UTAV version make sure Unique Tav is up to date
⋆ Because this relies on UTAV, the tattoos will only show up on vanilla and modded heads compatible/patched with UTAV
⋆ Not compatible with other tattoo mods (to my knowledge)
⋆ I'm planning on doing some other themed packs so let me know if you have any suggestions
⋆ I have tried to stick purely to stock photo images to create the tattoos, specifically istockphoto, though some are hand drawn (you can probably see which ones) and few are AI generated, though not by me.
⋆ If there's an interest in it, I am willing to upload the individual tattoos DDSs in one RBG channel
⋆ As I said above I'm new to modding (for anything not just BG3) so please be patient with me and any tips, tricks or advice are greatly appreciated

Edit: as of 04/05/2025 these tattoos are now available as replacer tattoos! With a huge thank you to HastursQueen for play testing things for me. If you would like to use them as replacer tattoos, please download the "Bardic Inspiration - Replacer Tattoos" version of the mod from the files tab and follow the same instructions as below.
