Could you possibly make a version of this mod that classifies the Blood of Lathander as a Morningstar with the appropriate stats? Lore wise that makes more sense than a Mace because Morningstars are kinda his signature weapon and common, it's in the name!
I am unable to get the game to load with the latest versions of the mod. The game says that it cannot start.
Here is the error from console:
Osiris Error: 2 error(s), 0 warning(s) in compilation. bg3se::esv::lua::OsirisNameResolver::RebuildCacheIfNecessary(): Couldn't bind Osiris queries - no adapters available (maybe story compile or merge failed?)
Idk if this has already been talked about but just wanted to say this mod doesn't work with patch 7 currently. Keeps giving me the message ''We were unable to start a new game. This might be because of the mods you have installed. Returning to the main menu now. Please disable external mods and try again!" P.S Also I did a double check to make sure it wasn't my other mods causing this and see if my game runs without it and it does.
due to Mod Fixer being baked in this mod is broken because Larian added code that does what Mod Fixer does and made it part of the Department of Redundant Redundancy Department.
So all that needs to happen is we need a version that no longer has Mod Fixer in it
I figured the game would auto ignore the mod fixer, but if i upload a version without it, someone will have to test if it works Edit: Uploaded a version of the original without the mod fixer, please LMK if that fixes it.
While I can't comment on the item being changed (no saves with the item are available right now), I can load the game with the mod enabled, which I couldn't with the other non patch 7 versions
I tried the change to the new file. Did not work. I couldn't open my game. Edit: I think my problem is that I need to do a clean install before putting this in my game. Mod Manager (in-game) continues to recognize it as the old file (with mod fixer). Don't take my statement as it being that it doesn't work. Edit 2: It now works. Thanks loads!
I started a new game, and it loaded up just fine for me. I haven't gotten to the point where I can get the Blood of Lathander yet, but I'll report back once I do, and let you know if the changes to the weapon take effect or not.
If it's just a rip & replace of embedded modfixers, can we just do it ourself {for psnl use} via Multi-Tool (while awaiting NukeCola069's updates)? [I've been doing a bunch since Patch 7 for other mods (e.g., Shivero's VFX Library 1) while awaiting authors' updates; it's pretty easy.]
Or, is there further post Patch 7 kerf#ckery that needs to be ironed out? I can d/l all the versions & do psnl modfix rips & test, if u want...
Yeah go ahead i'm fine with people changing things for personal use (just deleting gustav folder in mods/bloodoflathanderredivined/ was it). Haven't got around to fixing the rest of the files cause of chronic fatigue but hopefully eventually EDIT: Removed Modfix from all versions of the mod, seeing some reports of other issues on some of my mods though EDIT 2: Think i fixed the other mod's issues by changing uuid
@BigBozat, would you mind telling me where one can learn to do this? One of my favorite clothing mods is broken because it has modfixer baked in. I would never reupload someone else's work, but I'd love to be able to fix the mod for personal use. I'm pretty tech illiterate, but I'd really like to learn!
You'll need LSLIB (converter app) and modders multitool, both are on github. You take the mod's zip and unzip it, and then put the pak into the LSLIB by write the file paths for the pak and the folder you want to extract it to, and when it is extracted you can navigate to *extracted folder*/ mods/*modname*/ and go through gustav --> folders until you reach forcecompile.txt and delete that (or you can delete the whole gustav folder if there is only the modfix in there)
I had the original mod installed, and was getting a message that the game couldnt start a new game. Once I installed the no modfix version, the message went away and I could get to character creation. I'm going through my mod list 1 by 1 to see which mods are patch 7 compatible, so im very confident the error was definitely with the og version of this mod.
fwiw, i manually did a rip & replace of the embedded modfixer for my psnl use/testing of Blood Of Lathander Re-divined - RR 10d10 Bless... and the fixed vers. loads & runs fine!
Side note: The Selune's Spear of Night fix -- mod author's rip & replace of modfixer -- which was recently updated on Nexus does *not*
