In Dungeons and Dragons 5e, rules as written, initiative rolls are Dexterity ability checks which you are not proficient in, so the bonus from Jack of All Trades work on them, adding half your proficiency bonus (rounded down).
This mod makes Baldur's Gate 3's Jack of All Trades work the same, meaning, if you have the Jack of All Trades feature, you get a +1 initiative bonus from level 2 to 8, and a +2 initiative bonus from level 9 to 12. If you have a mod that increases the max level and raises your proficiency bonus (optional), then you will get a +3 bonus from level 17 onward (proficiency bonus of 6).
Since initiative in Baldur's Gate 3 is rolled with a D4 instead of a D20, the bonus from this feature is a little more powerful than in 5e, but not enough to cause any balance issues.
Compatibility Should be compatible with anything that does not edit Bard's Jack of All Trades. Is compatible with any mod that changes the initiative die to a D20 (or any other die).
Known Issues Your initiative bonus may not update immediately after you gain a level that increases your proficiency. You can fix this by restarting the game, or saving and loading a save.
