INTRODUCTION

So...I keep saying I am done making mods...then someone gives me an idea, and I make it...

This subclass is basically the Druid version of the Eldritch Knight. I have seen two Green Knight ideas for 5e, one for tabletop and another for BG3, but neither quite did what I envisioned. So here you go.

This class is a fighter base that can use a limited number of Druid spells, and a few fun nature themed abilities.

By the way, I have other mods if you'd rather a summoning druid sorcerer caster type...

REQUIREMENTS

If you want to access levels beyond 12, you will need the UnlockLevelCurve mod. If you aren't planning on playing past level 12, no worries. This mod is still dependency free, but if you download the mentioned mod, you can now level all the way to 20...

One more thing...I have added compatibility with Mystra's Spells. While you don't need to download that mod to use this one, if you do, you will get extra spells to choose from.

Finally, I have tested this with mods that use the CF system to inject subclasses, and the new setup works fine and is compatible. You do not need the CF mod, and this mod should not conflict with other fighter subclass mods.

FEATURES

This is strictly a subclass, and there are no changes to the base class. You will gain spells similar to the Eldritch Knight spell progression, but your spell choices are from the Druid spell list. If you use the Mystra's Spells mod, you will get more spell choices, and if you use the Unlock Level Curve mod and level up to 20, you will also eventually gain access to up to 4th level spells by the time you max out. Again, neither of those mods are necessary to use this mod, but both will add a little something if you use them.

INSTALLATION

Using Vortex makes this much easier...but you can also check the following for a detailed explanation:

Alternatively, you can use the Win+R button and type in %appdata% in the box. Click OK, and navigate to the following folder:

C:\Users\**yourusernamehere**\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods

Unzip the zip file, and drop the GreenKnight.pak into the mod folder. Then, load up the game, from the main menu, choose the Mod Manager. From there, click the "Installed Files" option and enable the mod by clicking on the blank box next to it, which should put a green check mark in it.

WARNINGS

Warning number one...some of these abilities were taken from in game creatures. As such, the tooltip may read as such. I will eventually work on correcting this, but it isn't game breaking at this point.

Warning number two...I wanted this base class to have a more nature themed look and feel when you start the game. So, the base fighter equipment was altered to give the class hide armor, a shield, and a scimitar. This isn't a major change and the mod still works with other fighter subclasses. That said, if you start a new game with another fighter, this mod will still alter the base gear. Easy fix gang, disable my mod, start your new game, make your character, save the game, re-enable my mod and go about your business.
