WARNING: This mod doesn't support having more than one Shadowmancer per party, and the Shadow Incarnation feature doesn't work with custom races.
A Shadowmancer wields powers drawn from the depths of the Shadowfell: their shadow is an extension of their will, a deadly weapon that strikes from the darkness.
Eyes of Darkness
Starting at 1st level when you choose this origin, you gain darkvision up to 80 feet.
Shadow Incarnation
At 1st level, as a bonus action, you can manifest your shadow as a dark clone in an unoccupied space within 30 feet of you that you can see. Once per turn, after the turn you summoned it, you can teleport your shadow to any spot you can see within 30 feet. It has 10 AC and 1 hit point, as well as immunity to all damage types except radiant damage and all conditions. When you end your turn, your shadow disappears if it’s in a well-lit area or is more than 30 feet away from you. Your shadow remains as a creature until it is dispelled, you become unconscious, or you dismiss it as a bonus action.
As an action, you can command your shadow to attack. Your shadow uses your spell attack modifier for the attack roll and deals necrotic damage equal to 2d4 + your Charisma modifier. This damage increases as you gain levels in this class: 2d6 at level 5, 2d8 at level 9, 2d10 at level 13, and 2d12 at level 17.
Shadow Leap
At 1st level, as a bonus action, you can meld into the darkness or a dimly lit area, allowing you to teleport to another shadow or dimly lit spot within 60 feet that you can see. If your shadow is currently summoned, it is immediately dismissed.
Once you use this feature, you must complete a short or long rest before you can use it again.
Extra Shadow Attack
At 6th level, your shadow can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you use your action to command it to attack.
Shadow Form
At 11th level, as a bonus action, you can fully merge with the shadows. If your shadow is summoned, it is immediately dismissed, and you cannot re-summon it while in this form. You gain vulnerability to radiant damage and resistance to all other types of damage. While in this form, you cannot cast or concentrate on spells, but you can attack using your shadow’s attack and damage properties and benefiting from Extra Shadow Attack, as well as use the Shadow Leap ability an unlimited number of times. You return to your physical form if you end your turn in a well-lit area, at the end of one minute, or by using a bonus action.
After you use this feature, you must complete a long rest before you can use it again.
Obscuring Strike
At 18th level, when you deal damage to a creature, while attacking in Shadow Form or through your shadow, from the darkness or a dimly lit area, the creature must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or be blinded until the end of its next turn.
The attack animation of the shadow isn't the most appropriate but I'm not competent in custom animations. Maybe if someone helps me I'll upgrade it.
