A rework of the Ranger Subclass "Hunter" for the Fighter Class.

I really like Hunter's Whirlwind as an ability - the two problems with it, however, are as follows:

  • It's a Ranger Hunter exclusive ability (I prefer pure martials to casters/half-casters)
  • You don't get Whirlwind (or its ranged counterpart Volley) until Level 11, so you have to suffer through Hunter just to have fun right at the end of the game

This mod aims to tackle both these problems in one fell swoop - the Ranger Knight. This is essentially a tweaked version of the Hunter Subclass from Ranger transferred to Fighter.
The features of the Subclass are as follows:


General Changes:

Upon selecting the Ranger-Knight Subclass, you gain the "Ranger" Tag and gain any dialogue options that involves.


Level 3

Whirlwind Attack & Volley (Abilities):
These are tweaked versions of the Level 11 Abilities Hunters get. The main difference is The Ranger Knight versions deal half-damage (as you get them earlier and get 3 attacks + Action Surge at Level 11 compared to a Ranger's 2 attacks. It also creates a choice of whether you need single target damage or AoE damage).

Hunter's Prey (Passive):
This is a direct copy of Hunter's Level 3 Passive where you choose an option between Colossus Slayer, Giant Killer and Horde Breaker.


Level 7

Defensive Tactics (Passive):
This is a direct copy of Hunter's Level 7 Passive where you choose an option between Escape the Horde, Steel Will and Multiattack Defence.


Level 10

Additional Hunter's Prey and Defensive Tactics (Passives):
You can choose one more option from both the previous Hunter's Prey and Defensive Tactics selections.
