About this mod
This is my homebrew attempt at a tanky fighter subclass. I think it's a good choice for beginners or anyone who doesn't want to make a lot of decisions and doesn't want to play as a Champion Fighter.

Level 3
Rampart Bash: Use a bonus action to make an attack with your shield. The attack roll uses Strength, and it does damage equal to 1d4 + Constitution Modifier.
Additionally, when you hit a target with your shield, you can use your reaction to shove the same or different target with your shield. The effectiveness/distance of the shove is determined by your Strength Score. The shove doesn't need to be made as part of the initial attack, but it only lasts until the end of your turn.
Hard Target: Your AC increases by 1 when you have a shield equipped. This increase is in addition to any other benefits provided by the equipped shield.
Level 7
Improved Rampart Bash: When you hit a target with your shield, they must make a Wisdom Saving Throw against your Spell Save DC (8+Proficiency Bonus+Strength or Dexterity(whichever is highest)). On a failed save, they receive the Compelled Duel Status for two turns.

Built to Last: Your hit point maximum increases by 1*Fighter Level.
Level 10:
Improved Rampart Bash: When you hit a target with your shield, they must make a Strength Saving Throw against your Spell Save DC (8+Proficiency Bonus+Strength or Dexterity(whichever is highest)). On a failed save, they're knocked prone. This is in addition to the Compelled Duel effect from Level 7.
Improved Hard Target: Your AC increases by 2 when you have a shield equipped. This increase is in addition to any other benefits provided by the equipped shield.
Become the Rampart: While holding a shield, you have resistance to non-magical Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing Damage. Additionally, you can add your Constitution Modifier to any Saving Throws that you make.
