Fix/Workaround to Action Surge and Dread Ambusher synergy to work like it should in 5e Rules as Written. If you use Action Surge as a Gloom Stalker (by having at least 2 levels of Fighter dip) you will get your Dread Ambusher extra attack again in 1st turn.

In 5e one of the best multiclass combos is Gloom Stalker with Fighter and one of the reasons for that is synergy of 1st turn NOVA (burst damage in 1 turn) where you unload all your attacks + extra attack from Dread Ambusher, then Action Surge, and you get all attacks + Dread Ambusher attack again. That's becasue in 5e Dread Ambusher says: "if you take the Attack action on that turn, you can make one additional weapon attack as part of that action."  And since Action Surge gives you attack action again, it gives you Dread Ambusher again.

Since in BG3 they got rid of "attack action" rule and requirement part (whenever by design or limitations of game) and Dread Ambusher can be used without even attacking one with your action (I am sure it was just way easier to make it like its currently) the classic combo does not work sadly. It's also becasue BG3 has functions with very limited conditionsfor abilities/spells turn restrictions. It's either "OncePerCombat", "OncePerTurn" or "Short/LongRest" and game simply lacks functions coded in like "OnFirstTurn" or "TwicePerTurn/Combat" etc. so it's hard to properly put in many 5e mechanics.

This modifies "Action Surge" to grand you your Dread Ambusher attack again only if you are Gloom Stalker as I added a condition that you need to have Passive: Dread Ambusher so it won't trigger or other classes/dips.

I made it becasue I really wanted to just play 5e game instead of Larian homebrew and I miss many of 5e basic mechanics so sadly (or fortunetely) we have to try to fix those ourselves. Goom + Fighter is one of my favourite builds so I want it to work closer to 5e.

Mod Limitation:

Sadly there is zero way to limit it to "first turn only" etc. becasue game simply lacks functions like that. So with this mod you could (which is not intended) use Action Surge on next turns and get Dread Ambusher attack, so you have to limit yourself to use it only on first turn with that intention. But since this will probably be used mostly by those who want rules to be more 5e accurate, I think you will be fine.

Took be hours to figure out how to make it work, so if anyone could make it better/closer to 5e RAW then I will be more than happy.

1. Download .rar of my mods
2. Upack it to get .PAK file
3. Copy .pak file to C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods
4. Start BG3MM
5. Click "Refresh" button
6. Pull my mod from left side of BG3 MM window ("Inactive") to right sid
