About this mod
A Barbarian Subclass that takes inspiration from Fighter's Battle Master (uses new "Rage Techniques" instead of Maneuvers).
- Permissions and credits
Once I figure out how to add it, I'll update the mod. Everything else should work fine.
Tip: This Subclass uses the same resource as Battle Masters so if you multiclass the two, you will gain a LOT of Superiority Dice per Short Rest, making the Subclass more OP than intended. If you want that, have fun! If you'd prefer a "fairer" experience, I'd recommend you monoclass Warlord (it's very powerful by itself) or multiclass a different Fighter Subclass/Class (Champion, for example, compliments Brutal Critical nicely).
For my third mod after Thug - Rogue Subclass and Brawler - Fighter Subclass, I decided to focus on my favourite martial from BG3 - the Barbarian.
The problem with the class is that most subclasses either do one thing (Berserker, Wildheart) or don't feel that impactful (looking at you, Wild Magic). This mod is an attempt to allow Barbarian to have almost as much variety in their toolkit as a Battle Master while still staying a physical tank using Rage. The flavour of the Subclass is that Warlords are essentially the same as Battle Masters except instead of training in precision and technique, they prefer savagery and effectiveness. Note: This Subclass is recommended for melee STR builds.
The features of the Subclass are as follows:
Level 3
Gain Superiority Dice: 4 (Resource)
As mentioned above, Warlords use Superiority Dice to fuel their "Rage Techniques" (these are Maneuvers that require Superiority Dice and for Rage to be active).
Select 2 Rage Techniques (requires Superiority Die and Rage):
Choose two Rage Techniques from the following options (they deal an additional 1d8):
- Crushing Blow - A leaping attack that crushes the target into the ground, leaving them prone and bleeding. Can be used from height, in which case you take no fall damage.
- Relentless Attack - Can use a Superiority Die to allow you to make an attack with your Bonus Attack.
- Disarming Thrust - A dashing thrust (avoids Attacks of Opportunity) that disarms the target without save and causes them to bleed. This uses two Superiority Dice.
- Bloody Cleave - A 360 AoE weapon attack that knocks enemies away and cause them to bleed. This uses two Superiority Dice.
- Revenge - Once per turn, when you are hit by a melee attack, you can use your Reaction to make an attack against that enemy that will knock them down and cause them to bleed. Note: This is the only Rage Technique that can be used outside of Rage (but still uses a Superiority Die).
Select a Fighting Style:
Choose a Fighting Style from the following options:
- Archery
- Defence
- Duelling
- Great Weapon Fighting
- Protection
- Two-Weapon Fighting

Level 11

You can now attack three times with a single Action.
For anyone who liked my previous mods, you may have noticed that this one is slightly overtuned compared to what I've made before. That is for two reasons:
- This mod is a love letter to my personal favourite multiclass, Tigerheart/Battlemaster (Tigerheart/Battlemaster/Thief when I'm powergaming).
- This is going to be my last mod for a long time (retiring after starting three days ago lol), might as well go out with a fun "power fantasy" kind of mod.
