About this mod
A mod to increase everyone's health points when using Tactician difficulty
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
Always felt that combat does not last long enough, usually I would end fights within one or two, at most three turns, so I made this mod to increase both the party's health as well as that of the enemies by a set percentage.
- Only active for Tactician or Honour mode, or when using Tactician setting for Character Power in Custom difficulty
- This mod removes the dice roll modifier when using Tactician difficulty (because I prefer it this way)
- The party gets a lower modifier than the enemies
- The party's modifier affects pets, summons, etc
- The non-party modifier affects all creatures who previously got the 30% health buff from Tactician mode
- An additional lighter modifier is added for all creatures not in the party and not receiving the Tactician mode boost
Known Issues
- Marcus is not affected (on Patch 7)
Please report any issues!
Other
I recommend turning down the Character Power to Balanced (disabling the health boost) for timed fights, but it is up to you, of course.
To install the mod, just use BG3 Mod Manager.
To remove the mod, switch the difficulty to Explorer or Balanced, otherwise the party health boost sticks around.
There are several modifier options available.

Tell me what values you desire or create your own version:
You can create your own version by unpacking the mod's zip-file, and passing the resulting pak-file into BG3 Modders Multitool.
Open the "Status_TacticianHealthBoost.txt" file under "[BG3ModdersMultitool]\UnpackedMods\TacticianHealthBoost\Public\TacticianHealthBoost\Stats\Generated\Data".
In there you will find three blocks of text, with two saying "IncreaseMaxHP(...)".
The upper one, under "STATBOOST_HEALTH_NPC", is the percentage amount of health added to non-party creatures.
The lower one, under "STATBOOST_HEALTH_PARTY", is the percentage amount added to party members (and pets, summons, etc.).
Once you changed it to your liking, simply drag the "TacticianHealthBoost" folder onto the multitool again, and put the resulting .zip-file into your BG3ModManager.
(Preferably also change the version, to be certain you got the right file loaded. I go with "1.MOD_VERSION.PARTY_BOOST.NON_PARTY_BOOST" for the versions.)
