About this mod
Changes Myrmidon WildShapes to be less "janky" and adds some small quality of life fixes.
- Permissions and credits
- WildShape no longer costs any action point (bonus or normal), in order to increase the "flow" when you WildShape in combat. I didn't like the thought of having to WildShape before the fight if I wanted to take full advantage of a WildShape's skills.
Main Hand Attack
- Air, Fire, and Water Myrmidons will now have their respective "strike attack" set as the default main hand attack. I have no idea why they were not already set as default since there is no reason to ever make a normal main hand attack when you could instead use Electrified Flail, Scorching Strike, or Hiemal Strike. They all just use an action point, gives you extra attack, does more damage, and has a chance to apply a status effect.
- Earth Myrmidon's Grounded Thunder Strike has the correct tooltip now.
- All Myrmidons are now proficient with their weapons, because why wouldn't they be??
- The DC of all strike attacks is no longer set to 13, and instead scales with your casting modifier, because again, why wouldn't they be??
To improve each myrmidon's identity, and give their skills better synergy, the following changes have been made:
Fire Myrmidon
- Myrmidon's Immolation now costs a bonus action instead. Now we can WildShape, haste ourselves, and still have the all our attacks ready for some major spanking!!
Water Myrmidon
- Healing Vapours now costs a bonus action instead. For the awesome combo between Healing Vapours and Explosive Icicle.
Air Myrmidon
- Invisibility now costs a bonus action instead. No great masterplan behind this, just so that it could have something in its bonus action slot, like the other kids on the block :)
Earth Myrmidon
Already has Burrow as a bonus action, and also has guaranteed hits with Tavern Brawler. Trust me, it ain't hurting for any more buffs...
Compatibility
Should be compatible with anything that doesn't directly change the myrmidon wildshapes. My WildShape cost change is just a hidden passive that's added to the level 2 generic druid progression entry, so in theory should be compatible with any other mod that changes the wildshape shout, or any other wildshape. Basically, should work with Syrchalis's druid mods.
