EDIT 24-APRIL-2025: I need to update this mod, fixing a few things and making it 100% work with Patch 8. Patience is appreciated. Thank you.

"Sworn to the Raven Queen's service, the mysterious  shadar-kai venture into the Material Plane from the  Shadowfell to advance her will. Once they were fey  like the rest of their elven kin, and now they exist in a  strange state between life and death."

I'm aware there are other shadar-kai mods up here, but it was kindly suggested that I make my own version by someone who said they enjoy my other race mods. So, I did!

This mod adds shadar-kai as a subrace of elves, so that there is maximum compatibility with cosmetic mods that add heads, hairs, etc.

In addition to the racial abilities below, this mod includes the following:
  • Three custom skin colours of extreme whiteness, per the description of shadar-kai in 5E lore (there are also vanilla pale skins too of course).
  • A custom dye that will be included in your inventory when you start a new game as shadar-kai; this dye can be used repeatedly and will tint items black and grey, for the aesthetic.
  • If you have Script Extender installed, you will not be tagged as Baldurian. Regardless of SE, you will be treated as a rare sight by NPCs.
  • Shadar-kai dream guardians are included!

Shadar-kai abilities:
  • Necrotic Resistance - You have Resistance to Necrotic damage.
  • Blessing of the Raven Queen - As a bonus action, you can teleport to a space you can see within range. At level 3, you gain Resistance to all damage after using this ability until your next turn.
  • Raven Summon - Call for assistance from your personal raven guide, whose name is Brân!

If you would like to add screenshots of your characters, please feel free, as I would love to see them!
