List of Enhancements

  • Dynamically adjusting the contrast of the image according to the range of brightness levels it contains.
  • DPX colour grading.
  • Adding a subtle 'colour bloom' around glowing objects.
  • Adding distance fog.
  • Tonemapping for fake HDR, adds a nice contrast curve.
  • Adaptive Depth of Field for a light bokeh during conversations.
  • Sharpening the image.
  • Slightly increasing blues and slightly decreasing reds.
  • Effect that mimics obscurance and irradiance in the scene at a large scale.
  • Gamma corrected subtle bloom effect.
  • Simple anti-aliasing effect (makes jaggies smooth).
  • Global Illumination and subsurface scattering. Using this with a tight depth so it only shows during conversations.
  • High quality screen space ambient occlusion (approximating shadows around objects - can look a little strange in heavy fog).
  • Adding a subtle filmic grain effect over the scene.
  • Very slight darkening of the edges of the scene with a vignette.
  • Adjustment over the grading of shadows, midtones and highlights.
