To clarify: this mod doesn’t make cambions completely silent. What it will do, however, is get rid of the horrible grunting noises they make literally nonstop, like why would you do that, Larian?? Why?????

⭐VERSIONS⭐
These are edits of the cambions summoned from Planar Ally and the Infernal Rapier. Because it uses a RootTemplate edit to silence the grunt sound effect, it won’t be compatible with other mods that do the same thing. But maybe you're like me and you want, say, the sweet hair from Rebalance Level 6 Spells for your cambions AND some peace and quiet. So! I made compatibility patches! There are a few to choose from:

Quiet Cambion
Main version of the mod that edits the vanilla game's cambion. This is the one you should choose, unless you use a cambion edit mod such as…

Quiet Cambion (Rebalance Level 6 Patch)
Alternate version of the mod that patches Syrchalis’ replacement cambion for compatibility. This version is dependent on Rebalance Level 6 Spells and it must be installed for this to work!

Quiet Cambion (Better Cambion Summon Patch)
Alternate version of the mod that patches kobaldJuno’s replacement cambion for compatibility. This version is dependent on Better Cambion Summon and it must be installed for this to work!

All of the above versions share the same UUID, so you can only use one at a time.

However, mods that introduce a completely standalone cambion summon can have their patch installed simultaneously with another. These mods are below:

Quiet Cambion (Chains of Cania Patch)
Additional version of the mod that patches Ldirg’s cambion for compatibility. This version is dependent on Chains of Cania and it must be installed for this to work!


⭐QUIETEST CAMBION⭐
Maybe this still isn't quiet enough for you. Maybe you're ready to banish ALL the grunting. FOREVER. Time to make all your wildest dreams come true.

Quietest Cambion removes the running grunt SFX from the 'BASE_Bipedal_Fiend_Cambion' file, which is the character base that all other cambions inherit from. This means that this mod will affect ALL cambions, including:

• Enemy cambions, whether male or female
• Summoned cambions
• Modded cambions
• Raphael
• Haarlep
• Mizora
• Etc etc.
  

This is effectively the nuclear option—it indiscriminately affects multiple vanilla characters, but it essentially guarantees you'll never need to patch for a specific cambion mod (assuming it's properly inheriting from 'BASE_Bipedal_Fiend_Cambion'). Unsurprisingly, this means you won't need Quiet Cambion or a patch anymore if you already have them installed, so you can remove them. To this end, Quietest Cambion shares a UUID with Quiet Cambion/its patches to minimize 'missing mod' warnings.


⭐HOW TO INSTALL⭐
Comes in a pak file. Place in your Mods folder. Export to the game with your mod manager of choice. (I recommend BG3MM.) For the regular Quiet Cambion version, load order doesn't matter. For patch versions, load them after their corresponding mod.

⭐UNINSTALLING⭐
As a general rule, you should dismiss summons before uninstalling mods that affect them. Note that switching to/from a Rebalance Level 6 patch on saves with active cambion summons might make them crashy, as Syrchalis' cambion uses a different UUID.
