are you insane like me and want tiefling ears for your drow back? or maybe you just like the half-elf version better than the drow version but desperately want to be a menace still?
simply edit my mod to your liking like this:
1. unpack mod
to do any kind of editing you first need to unpack my .pak mod file. grab the modder's multitool here. drag the .pak mod file onto this space:
2. locating the relevant file
from here, navigate to HW_HeadEdits/Public/HW_HeadEdits/CharacterCreation. inside is a file called CharacterCreationAppearanceVisuals.
i recommend opening it with notepad++ to make things look neater, but you can also use the editor.
3. how to edit
once inside, you will see lots of entries that look like this:
the only attribute you're going to touch is the VisualResource (unless you know what you're doing ofc).
you need to replace the uuid (here: 908b32fc-40f4-41a8-a33d-3c94964d41b9) with the one for the head version you desire.
simply choose from this list! includes some old ear versions that are otherwise no longer available in cc.
then simply save your changes :)
4. repacking the mod
finally, navigate back to the Unpacked Mods folder in modder's multitool.
drag the HW_HeadEdits folder onto the same space as before in the tool.
after a short while it's done packing the mod and you will find a zip folder named HW_HeadEdits in the Unpacked Mods folder. inside is the finished .pak mod file already, simply install that like you always do!
you can now delete the HW_HeadEdits folder as i takes up quite a bit of space :)
and you're done <3
