SHIVERO'S VFX REQUIRED FROM NOW ON
- First wave of new Custom Spell Icons ! More will be added regularly from now on as I introduced new spells. Update a bit late because Patch 6 and the following hotfixes broke some Honour bosses VFX that were working fine when I was making new spells during patch 5, and I had to search for alternatives.
- Created Sharran variants of Shield of Faith, Guidance, Shield. For balance and game integration, these all work similarly to the base spells and interact in the same ways with items that could buff them, like https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Viconia%27s_Priestess_Robe or https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Dark_Justiciar_Half-Plate_(Very_Rare). Further updates will see other base game spells gain Sharran Variants (only Icons and VFX will change for some).
Crusader Changes :
- Added Interrupt progression for Shadow Smite up to LVL 6 Spell Slot in case of multiclassing.
- Added position VFX to Shadow Smite.
- Removed Brand the Weak.
- Fighting Style pick moved back to LVL 3. Divine Health added at level 3.
- Removed False life from Spell list, replaced by Shield (Sharran version).
- Channel Oath : Control Undead replaced by Crusader’s Might : you or targeted ally deals bonus psychic damage based on your CHA modifier and gain a +1 bonus to attacks rolls. Lasts 2 turns.
- Moved Umbral Form from Soulhunter to Crusader Level 10, now once per short rest (all Forms share the same cooldown). It’s a straight up buff now to damage and resistance that no longers silences you.
- Temporarily changed Wailing Grief VFX due to bug after patch 6.
Fidelian Changes :
- Added or replaced several new VFX on spells.
- Shadow Blast damage rolls slightly buffed from 1d4 each to 1d6 each.
- Added Shadowfell Blast passive at level 7, adding your wisdom modifier as psychic damage (only one instance will proc, no damage riders multiplication).
- Armor Of Shadows : Dropped unshielded requirement for bonus to AC (you can now equip shields basically). Buffed base AC from 10 to 11.
- Changed Shadow Entangle VFX and surface to Shadow-Cursed vines as originally intended. Can now be upcasted up to LVL 6 Spell Slots, increasing the area covered in vines.
- Temporarily changed Psychic Mirror VFX to normal Mirror Image VFX due to bug after patch 6. Immunity to non magical damage removed, instead gives +3 bonus to AC per image, explosion triggers on miss rather than hit now.
- Shadows of Dusk now has a chance to apply Afraid of the Dark, a fear effect, for one turn.
- Added Shadowfell Bolt, a level 1 Spell dealing Cold and Necrotic Damage as well as applying Soulnumbed.
- Removed Dreadful Offering.
- Speak with Dead moved from Domain Spell List to Pick Spell List.
- Shield of Night has been replaced by Withering Theft (Cost one Channel Divinity) :
- Withering Theft deals 2d10 necotic and robs a creature of its life force, giving you 15 Temporary HPs for 5 turns and unlocking Withering Gift as long as you have those THPs.
- You can use Withering Gift to transfer the full buff to an ally.
Inquisitor Subclass (rework of Soul Hunter)
The subclass has been changed to encourage a more unique playstyle than what it currently had, which was a bit all over the place in my opinion. It is now more of a Ranged Beastmaster, working in concert with Shadow Hounds to track and kill Shar’s enemies.
- Removed Whip of Shar mechanics and Coercitive Headhunter for now. Removed Minor Illusion level 1 and added Longstrider and Feather Fall instead. Steeped in Slaughter removed.
- Level 2 : Inquisitor’s Flair unchanged
- Level 3 :
Hounds of the Dark Moon Order : From level 3 and onward, you can now summon two Shadow Mastiffs who will grow in strength with your subclass level (5,7,8 and 11).
- Level 4 : Shadow Blade has been replaced by Shadow Armaments, giving you the ability to summon a Shadow Bow capable of using Cursed Shot on a long rest cooldown. Requires no concentration and scale in power with character level. PS : In time all weapons types will have a shadow version and will be spread around the three subclasses.
Cursed Shot : a ranged attack possibly inflicting Shadow Possession.
- Level 5 :
Hunting Grounds : Available on a Short Rest, mark a large area as hunting ground for your hounds, inflicting a custom Houndmaster’s Mark to enemies standing within. (VFX will change, the one I was using bugged out after Patch 6).
Houndmaster’s Mark : Enemies are made vulnerable to necrotic damage or see their necrotic resistance removed (won’t remove immunity). Your Shadow Hounds can gather Essence of the Hunted on killing blows against marked targets, granting them 20 temporary HPs and the Soul Offering ability. Essence of the Hunted will disappear if the temporary HP is lost.
Soul Offering : Essence of the Hunted can be transferred to you by your hounds, giving you the Predator Essence buff, up to 5 max. Each Predator Essence adds a +1 bonus to Intimidation checks, and can be consumed by Dead’s Bounty.
Dead’s Bounty : An attack that deals 1d10 necrotic damage and an additional 2d10 for each Predator Essence. Consume all existing stacks.
- Level 8 : Added Darkveil Precision, giving you a 1d4 bonus to ranged attack rolls when obscured.
- Level 10 : Added Hunter Form, reducing the number you need to roll Critical Hit by 2 and removing the chance to critical fail. Attacks against unharmed targets have a chance to Paralyse them.
- Level 11 : A Pack of Bones and Shadows - You can now summon an additional, powerful Undead Hound along your Shadow Hounds.
