About this mod
Allows minions to clear fog of war, travel between areas and trigger traps.
- Permissions and credits
The mod has 3 components. Each can work independantly or with any of the others.
1.Allows minions (summons and charmed) to clear fog of war. There's a hard limit on 8 characters who can clear FoW (so 6 party members + 2) even with this mod. Also, it has been theorized it's possible to break some cutscenes by having more than 7 creatures who can clear fog of war (so 6 party members +1) at once, though I haven't been able to make this happen in game. If you do run into such an issue, kill off your summons prior to the cutscene in question and please let me know.
2.Allows minions (summons only, NOT charmed creatures) to travel between areas with the player. Note that with this component summons are considered part of the party and as such, if they're left behind they will prevent you from resting or travelling until they're back with the party, their duration runs out and they get unsummoned or they are killed.
3.Allows minions and enemies to trigger floor traps. This may have unintended effects as some floor traps are used to trigger events rather than as actual traps.
Installation instructions:
1.Extract the downloaded archive into your game folder.
2.Get the latest version of weidu for your OS from https://github.com/WeiDUorg/weidu/releases and paste weidu.exe (or whatever extension your OS uses, the file name is the same) into your game folder. Alternatively, if you have installed other mods, you can copy the setup-modname.exe from one of them and use that.
3.Rename your weidu.exe to setup-wl_SummonsFoW.exe and run it
4.Follow the prompts to install the desired components.
Some features may require starting a new game to work.
Uninstallation instructions:
1.Run setup-wl_SummonsFoW.exe and follow the prompts to uninstall desired components.
2.(Optional)Delete setup-wl_SummonsFoW.exe, SETUP-WL_SUMMONSFOW.DEBUG and the folder wl_SummonsFoW from your game folder. Only do this if you've uninstalled ALL components first.
Updating instructions:
If you're updating from a version prior to 1.4:
1.Follow the uninstallation instructions to uninstall all components, including the optional step.
2.Follow the installation instructions.
If you're updating from a version 1.4 or later:
1.Follow the uninstallation instructions to uninstall all components. Optional step can be skipped.
2.Follow the installation instructions.
Some features may require starting a new game to work.
COMPATIBILITY:
This mod is made for BG:EE, BG2:EE and IWD:EE. It may or may not work (most likely not) on PST:EE or any of the original releases.
This mod is only tested on Windows.
This mod goes last or as late as possible in your mod install order.
There are no known incompatibilities with other mods.
