a very similar issue can now happen with dropbox link (mod download) exept instead of marking all files as 'master.zip' it can be marked as ' unspecified'  just proceed the same way you would with a master.zip bug.

ADITIONALY, you will be wanting to proceed with your aborted instalation. for that you need to re-open the tool. and it will re-update. which will re-introduce more wrongly named mod archives. just before you do, temporarily set the mod.ini file to 'read only' in the file property. otherwise you will never be able to install mod with this tool. 

because apparently, its hard to set some script to correct strings on the fly.

IF THERE IS NO MISTAKE IN A MOD FILE NAME AND THE TOOL STILL CAN'T GET THE MOD FROM THE DOWNLOAD LINK,  ITS BECAUSE THE CREATOR REMOVED ALL HIS CONTENT FROM THE INTERNET. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME LOOKING FOR IT ON GOOGLE AND REMOVE THE MOD FROM YOUR [[[[[SELECTION. SORRY, IT HAPPEN SOMETIME AND NO ONE AND NOTHING CAN HELP YOU.                                                                                                 ]]]]]

sometime when downloading many mod. github will trow up internal error and the tool might register many files as "master.zip"

now that technically isn't the fault of EET MOD Setup TOOL. no as much as it is the fault of github or your provinces electrical power grid. it might actualy be microsoft window fault for not allowing several file with identical name and extension in the same folder.

however the result of that is that when the tool , in the initial configuration mode, will try to unpack those mods, they will overwrite each other. then will report that the mod are still missing (even if you submit the archives manually.) ((even if you submit them manually in separate folders)

the solution, while not immediately obvious, is to go to the location you unpacked the tool and navigate to the config folder of the app. and open "Mod.ini"

in my case it was "C:\Users\username\Downloads\EE-Mod-Setup-master\App\Config\BG2EE\Mod.ini"

[thats for baldursgate enhanced edition trilogy install "BG2EE" but if you have a different game such as icewindale enhanced edition, baldursgate 1 enhanced edition or planetscape torment enhanced edition, instead of xxx\EE-Mod-Setup-master\App\Config\BG2EE\Mod.ini,  

it will be something like xxx\EE-Mod-Setup-master\App\Config\iWDEE\Mod.ini ,

xxx\EE-Mod-Setup-master\App\Config\BGEE\Mod.ini

or xxx\EE-Mod-Setup-master\App\Config\PTEE\Mod.ini]



now you can find which file where mis-identifyed and rename them with the actual archive name so that the tool can identify them proper instead of identifying them as a generic "master.zip"

do so with every mod that present this problem.

then save and exit the document editing program and restart the tool.

select "yes" when it ask you if you want to continue the previous configuration and the tool should report no missing master.zip anymore.

this is a very specific issue that can't technically be fixed by the author but i reported it to him/her already. so hopefully a way to automate this fix will be found.


edit, while i had contacted roxane for this issue initially on her own forum, he/she has taken down her forum for personal reason and this information is now only available here in nexus. although he/she briefly mentioned on his/her GitHub page that a solution was not yet found for this i highly doubt that this will be taking precedence over maintaining the tool functions.

this ambiguous fix remain a good solution as of august 2022.
