I've made some testing with my preset checking the performance hit with and without my preset in afterburner and uploaded a few new screenshots, in the worst cases I lose 2 or 3 FPS with it on, Im sorry for anyone who is having trouble or fps drops with it I really don't know what could it be.

Some people have downloaded BT - Avowed Advanced Performance Framework (DLSS 4 - FSR3 Frame Gen - Zero Stutter - Better Visual - Low Latency - More FPS - Next-Gen Boost) and some others Optimized Tweaks AVD - Reduced Stutter Lower Latency Better Frametimes Improved Performance these mods seems to help quite a bit with stability and performance in general, also I've made the performance tests with and without the second performance mod but still without the performance mod I still only lose from 2 to 3 FPS  but the game feels smoother and you can gain some FPS with the performance mod.

It seems that upscaling could be causing the problem with the performance lost in Reshade. I'm using DLSS 3.5 and I don't have any problem with Reshade but some people with DLSS 4 are having problems with it, thanks to inkphantom for pointing it out to me, I'll try to do more tests changing the DLSS version of my game when I have more time but if anyone can confirm this would be very helpful.

Hope this can help at least a bit to anyone having problems with the preset and thanks to everyone for downloading and giving it a try.

Love this reshade , makes the game look so much better.
    Great job.

Playing at 1440p with an RTX 3080 , i have not noticed any diffrence in performance , with or without the reshade .
Only FPS drops i get are in the city areas which is just down to the game.

For me the reshade is also making me loose about 20fps. Am playing on an AMD gpu, but it is worth it nonetheless since the game looks so much better with your preset. Thanks a lot man!

I got question and forgive me if I'm ignorant but do I just drop this zip in my WinRAR folder or the reshader-shaders folder within that? I'm having the issue where I had some presets downloaded and they worked but then my home screen went black and the home key stopped working. I've tried remapping it but it won't open the menu regardless. I'm guessing I had to of put it something in the wrong spot? I'm really not sure.

The Reshade files and folder has to be where the main exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Avowed\Alabama\Binaries\Win64
I suppose the xbox one should be something similar.

is there no option do disable all shaders with end key like in other games? Here it will only load the shaders again when pressing end.

You can open the Reshade menu with the HOME key and then assign a shortcut to enable or disable al effects

Funny there is always someone who does this
American companies have devs make games in WARM tones
European have the devs make games in COLD tones

There is always a mod that flips them

Compared this to many other ReShades that have (thankfully) already been shared for Avowed, and this is by far my favorite - thank you!

You can disable HDR effect, open the game and press the "home" key to open Reshade menu and tick off the HDR effect

I',m sorry to hear that but idk what could be the problem there, it shouldn't happen, I've tested it in my main pc and a laptop without any performance lost as I don't use very performance hit filters.

Not sure either to be honest. I just load in your files, and press effect toggle key on and off, 80 to 55. Wish I knew, looks amazing. I posted some images. Could this effect DLSS/Frame Generation somehow?
EDIT: I'm back up to 70fps with https://www.nexusmods.com/avowed/mods/7 this mod, the reshade, high settings, DLSS4 performance, frame generation on, latency on+boost. Works a hell of a lot better and now I can enjoy your reshade.

Its so strange that you were having fps loses with the preset, eitherway games nowdays have tons of problems and I know it well, I've spent a few salaries in my PC and still most of UE5 games give me problems.
I'm happy to hear that you solve it, I'll let this comment pinned just in case someone has the same problem.

After some googling, I think its because reshade conflicts with dlss/framegen, which I use. I ended up turning it off. Sadly, it was dipping below 60. I need that 80-90 range. But, again, it looks great

Were you using the last version and preset of DLSS or Framegen? I just want to try and narrow it down to find a fix for people having the same problem.

I wonder if DLLS 4 is the problem then, because I'm using an older version of DLSS and Reshade works fine, I don't lose performance.
Thanks a lot for the feedback and for helping me trying to get to the main problem.

Do you happen to know if there is a setting changed in this reshade that is causing my game to always start up with Fsr enabled ?
I would like for it to immediately run with no upscaler and I only have three mods , optimized tweaks(responded FSR not involved), skip intro, and this reshade.

My presets never come with FSR or any other upscaler, idk what could be causing that problem I'm sorry
