In Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, most of the cosmetic head items available in the store (and through Kukulope) replace the player's chosen hairstyle with a specific hairstyle when equipped. This has been widely referred to as a bug, because many people dislike this, but it is an intended behavior. The initial bug was when both hairstyles would appear. The next bug was when the headgear released alongside The Sky Breaker didn't have replacement hair. Now all of them have the replacement hair they mean to have. There are certain in-game equipping sequences that are bugged and allow the player's hair to appear, but I figured that doing this would be easier.
This mod stops the replacement hair from happening, allowing players to equip cosmetic headgear with their chosen hair showing. Functional with all hairstyles. A few textures are also changed to try to make some of the items less awkward when worn with unintended hairstyles.
Requires the Ultimate Frontiers of Pandora Modloader. To install, download and extract the .zip file and place the "blue" folder in the game's directory, where afop.exe is. If you already have some or all of the folders needed for these files, you can place the appropriate subfolders or the files themselves in the correct locations, following the paths described in the .txt file or as seen in the download preview.
The changing place will misbehave a little bit if you change your hairstyle while wearing a cosmetic head item, but re-equiping the head item afterward should fix this. I'm not sure why, but altering this .juice in any way seemed to stop it from replacing the hair—I won't complain.
