   I can't seem to pilot the ship. I have the necessary skill trained up but it says I still need it, despite it being at level 4.

      When you find the skill in University, does it say 4/10 or 5/10? It needs to say 5/10 as that means you have learnt level 4 and can now learn level 5.

   I would vastly increase the mining bonuses for this ship to make it comparable to the EVE Orca while still fulfilling a role applicable to Astrox. This can't even outmine an EF-1 Excavation Frigate.
   
   Miner Strength bonus: 100%
   Miner Energy bonus: 50%
   Miner Range bonus: 25%
   
   at least.
   
   Considering that strip miners in EVE so vastly outperform Miner IIs, I would even go so far as to add extra active slots or crank the miner stats to more like:
   
   Miner Strength bonus: 150-200%
   Miner Energy bonus: 75-100%
   Miner Range bonus: 25-75%
