The mod is purely aesthetic it don't change the gameplay. It is for roleplay.
There is a limited, historical basis.Assassin's Creed Shadows story set in the Azuchi–Momoyama period (1574–1600) includes
the assault on Iga Province known for its ninjutsu practitioners.
The Bansenshukai synthesizing the knowledge of the ninja clans of Iga and Koga
mention kunoichi (female ninja) mostly as a spie wich infiltrate in disguise, adopting various appearances to carry out missions.
The first female geisha appeared in 1751 but there were talented female performers before providing similar services.
Wandering mikos (shrine maidens), saburuko (serving girls), courtesans...trained in traditional performing arts.
There were other asian geisha/oiran counterparts, korean gisaeng, chinese geji...with similar proficiencies.
Oshiroi white powder used as a makeup base since the Nara Period (710-794) was an import from the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
