Assassin's Creed: Rogue is now my second favourite game of all time. It's simply too amazing, featuring my new favourite protagonist in a game, even managing to beat out the likes of John Marston and Ezio. Unfortunately, the game itself looks a bit... grey, washed out. So, I took it upon myself to make a Reshade for it. Featuring more prominent colours, much richer detail, a new tonemap, and much more to make bringing down your former Brothers-in-arms more exhilarating.
To install, simply move all files included (Excluding Comparison Images) into your main game folder. For me, this is D:/Uplay/Assassin's Creed Rogue.
It should sharpen textures, decrease brightness marginally, and increase contrast, also converting it to look like it is in a DPX format, making
it look like it's in a higher definition. All of the settings are unlocked, obviously, so you can edit them to your heart's desire if my settings aren't quite what you are looking for. If you have any questions on what the settings do, or just wish for me to release an update to this preset, ask away! Feel free to reupload anywhere else if you leave a comment here informing me of such. Also feel free to upload an edited version of this if you make one, but
please message it to me so I can see what you've done, I would love to see it.
Performance should be impacted, as some of these are pretty heavy effects. It shouldn't be that big of a difference, maybe a few frames a second, but if your computer has difficulty playing the game already, you may run into more trouble with your framerate, so YMMV. However, if people have performance issues, I can release a "performance" version without the heavy effects. It does not use Anti-Aliasing or Ambient Occlusion (Partially for higher framerate, partially because I don't like those effects), so feel free to turn them on in the SweetFX_Settings file or use the base games's version of those effects, there will be no clipping at all.
