  • VictoReShade

    VictoReShade
A simple ReShade, made by a guy called Victor.

I don't really know what words could describe this as effectively as a few pictures can, luckily I don't have to.

I guess this is where I'd say more words if I didn't have any pictures...

    Things that are different?
     Light has an impact.
     Darkness/shadows are less green.
     More contrast
     Distant objects are slightly sharpened.
Sharpened distant objects are slightly blurred.
    EyeAdaption.

FPS loss can be quite noticeable but it's well worth it.
Also, this ReShade doesn't start looking like shit on lower resolution, while still looking amazing in 4...

  • Texture editing for Resorep modders

    Goal

A common complaint from players is that the majority of mods are released for Resorep.  It's a powerful tool, but it's incompatible with Reshade and can be difficult to get working.  Locating textures is painful and the ID number format is tedious for both modders and users to manage.  I'm continually asked to make Forger versions of existing mods, which I wouldn't do without a direct request from the author.

My goal for writing this article is to provide another path for authors to release texture mods as forger2 files, either with or without support for Resorep.  Feel free to comment with any information you think would be helpful for other modders.

    What will I need?

These are the things I expect to provide help with and answer qu...

  • Version 2.5 Beta documentation

Version 2.5 changes the way the patches are applied and expands on Forger's capabilities.  No released mods require it yet, so many of you may choose to stick with 2.1.1 for now.  If you're a modder or would like to help test this version, please read on.

    What's new?

The changes are all under the hood.  Previous versions kept a "clean" (.original) copy of each forge file to use for reference.  It was the best available idea at the time, but caused a lot of problems and confusion.  v2.5 appends changes to the end of the file so the second copy is no longer necessary.  I expect this will be less problematic, and it also expands its capabilities (it removes limitations 1 and 2 from the File formats and Forger article)

    Upgrading to 2.5

  • Introduction - File formats and Forger

The code in this mod is based on code and research available in the Blacksmith project. Where ever possible, I've used the same terminology and conventions as is used in the source code (1.6).  It's an excellent asset browser, but it is not intended to be used for modding purposes. Please do not discuss modding or ask modding-related questions in its support channels.

    2019-08-25 - Updated for Forger 2.5

    Overview

Game assets are packed into archive files with a .forge extension, and near the beginning of each is a table of contents listing all of the assets it contains.  Each asset in the table (FileEntry in Blacksmith) has a unique FileID, a generally unique name, and a resource ID that indicates the type of asset (MESH, TEXTURE, etc).  The table ...

  • Upcoming AC 3 Remaster Version

Here are some screenshots of the new version of this that I've made for Assassin's Creed III Remastered. Warning: this version is very much NOT compatible with AC3 Remastered unless you want your monitor to blow out your eyeballs like staring into the sun.

Colorfulness, saturation, nightvision, LUT, and noise all adjusted heavily in the AC3 Remaster version. I plan to post it when Nexus finally hosts a game page for it.

Screenshots are "Off" and "On" versions, not necessarily in that order. You can very easily tell which ones are off and which are enhanced / on.

Some of the photos are just the enhanced version (the ones without doubles).

  • Cinestyle Reshade - Inspired by Technicolor and Canon

Adds realistic, lifelike, and yet cinematic color correction and color grading to AC Odyssey that is inspired by Technicolor's Cinestyle color profile for Canon cameras.

It uses LUTs, other color correction, sharpening, and various FX to create a vibrant, beautiful lighting profile. Enjoy....
