    Hey Everyone,

I'm almost done with a medium DoF version, which should provide the best of both DoF worlds. The intent for the medium DoF option (which I'll probably make the default version of the presets once ready) is to offer something near the gameplay-friendly playability of the Light DoF add on pack option while delivering the deep, stunning, cinematic, Bokeh-based-DoF options of the current default Heavy option. In an ideal world, this will be finished and released tonight. To reiterate, medium DoF should offer rich, film-grade depth-of-field while avoiding the inventory menu issues caused by the heavy DoF (default) implementation. I may also increase film grain.

Also wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone that's downloading/will download the ACE Collection! I really appreciate it as well as the kind words in the comments. I super duper appreciate the endorsements you all have left too! Cheers and good tidings to all!

Update 1-3 almost ready, I think. I thought I solved the DoF inventory screen issues (medium DoF) in update 1-2 experimental, but there were lingering issues. I've almost got it sorted out now... I think. Stay tuned please :)

Nope, ReShade works with every platform version, the installation is practically the same, just select the location where the game is installed, for Uplay games, I think it was in the folder: "Ubisoft Game Launcher".

Thanks, no problem. I got a bit confused because the ini files (I think it was) all referenced steam, so I didn't want to take any chances until I was sure.

Nope, the patch isn't the issue, it still works fine for me on the newest patch. Can you give more info? Does it crash on startup? Does your game load but you don't see the gray ReShade box in the top left corner telling you the effects are loading?

      Cheers

sry engllish is not my native language. i dont have any effects, reshade is correctly installed with right pathes in the reshade ini. no crashes and the grey box, menu and fps from reshade is working but no effect from any preset. i dont know what the problem is. also no effect-key is working, just f4 and the end key

anyway i try another reshade and answer later if it works

Hey, thanks for providing more details. I'm almost 90% sure that problem is that either the paths aren't correct or that your reshade-shaders folder doesn't have the effects in it in the "shaders" and "textures" folders.

Can you try deleting any reshade files you have installed, then reinstall the ReShade 3.4.1 framework from this link instead: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/8ar1jhh1809cl/ReShade_Repository#bow1ko4203njp

Then when you finish, please be sure to double check you have a lot of .fx files in you reshade-shaders\Shaders folder. If you don't see Lightroom, bloom, border, and other .fx files in your Shaders folder, then can you please copy-paste the reshade-shaders folder from my download to your "Assassins Creed Odyssey" folder.

That's great news! I'm not sure why it wasn't working either, but I'll pin this comment in case others have the same issue. This is a big help! Thank you so much for the kind words :)

Ps: I'll release an update soon with at least 2 new ReShades for the collection.

    Hey,
Just putting this out there in case any one else has the same problem as me:
The shader and texture files weren't loading properly in the game even though I thought I had the correct install paths.
Turns out that in the Reshade.ini that you download from this page has the path written as "...\Assassins Creed Odyssey\..." which will be fine for most people, but for me, I had the game folder installed under "...\Assassin's Creed Odyssey\...". The very subtle difference is in the apostrophe in "Assassin's". Or for non english speakers, the following symbol in between the n and the s in "Assassins": '
I'm assuming marex76 had the same issue as me, as I used the solution he posted to find this out.
    Hope this helps!

Also, thank you very much for the work you've put into this preset, it makes the graphics feel so much more realistic and vivid. Very happy I found it; In my opinion it is definitely the best pick out of the Reshades available for this game!
    Have a good one!

    Hello!
If you get a shader compilation error when using Reshade 4, get the new version Quint DOF shader from his github : https://github.com/martymcmodding/qUINT/blob/master/Shaders/qUINT_dof.fx

this solved the issue for me.

    Cheers!

That could only be caused by using a version of the ReShade framework that isn't compatible with the game's antiquated anticheat method. I use ReShade framework 4.5.1 and 4..2.1 without issues. Here's a link to the old versions: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/8ar1jhh1809cl/ReShade_Repository

    Pretty good Reshade, here.
Besides, thank you for the very complete installation way, and the differents presets.

A little too much "blue" for me, as often with Reshade filters in games, but I found the one in "Vivid Warm".

btw, it worked well with the 4.5.2 Reshade version

Thank for the job and sharing

Glad you like it, and thanks, I work hard to make sure I have detailed and clear instructions! The more people that can get into modding and ReShade in particular, the happier I am :)

Also, please feel free to endorse if you get a chance. Thanks again!

Favorite mod ever! Unfortunately it stopped working after I downloaded resorep. So pissed. I deleted everything I could with resorep and reinstalled your mod but it still won't work. Any idea how to fix this? Kind of a noob. But i know I can't play this game without your reshade.

Hey thanks so much for the kind words. I think the issue comes from both using the same named .dll files. Did you get .dll file(s) when you installed the resorep mod? In theory, I think the solution would be deleting the .dll files from that mod (did it replace any files from the game itself?) and then installing ReShade again. I have to rename my reshade files to d3d11.dll from dxgi.dll for ReShade to work with any game for me, usually.

Please let me know if this helps! Good luck!

Nice work! However, the DoF effect also blurs some of the hud info ingame (e.g. compass). Is there any workaround for this? Thanks in advance!

Sorry, no fix for that as ReShade's effects are more-or-less applied over top the existing image. There's a tool with the default installation of ReShade called UI Mask, but I've never got it to work for me and you have to set it up custom with each game.

Hey M9R3, thank you so much!

Unfortunately, you almost definitely cannot use the newest one since using the newest version of ReShade (whatever the newest version happens to be at the time) usually crashes Ubisoft games due to their anti-cheat filters not being up-to-date with approving the latest reshade build, whatever it may be. I believe I tested ReShade 4.0.2 successfully with the game before and you *should* be able to use that version with ACO with my ReShades, though I've not tested it extensively and am still working with 3.4.1 to release my latest work for ACO, which you'll be able to see in my upcoming vid today or tomorrow. ;) Here's a sneak peak: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmF8kmJR

Hope this answers your question :)

Of course! But on a new file page. Still getting the kinks out. Here's a new vid showcase of all my progress. Really close to being done now Just getting the DOF refined (have multiple DoF options right now), and I may do another pass on the film grain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBt3UowhK8w

Hi, i experience a crash to desktop whenever i launch the game. My install location are not the default steam ones so i've edited the .ini files appropriately, i've changed the paths for texturesearch, effectssearch, screenshot and preset files to match my location, reading through the posts here i've noticed i don't have d3d11.ini in my install location, in the shaders folder i also have only 18 files and i have no lightbloom.

      Hi Zee,

      So two things:

      1. You will only have a dxgi.dll file and ReShade.ini when you finish downloading and installing everything.

      2. Like me, you likely have to rename your "dxgi.dll" file to "d3d11.dll" to get the game to stop crashing on launch.

      Hope this helps!
