A Plague Tale Requiem, similar to its prequel, does not house many pre-rendered videos. In this game, most videos that are Pre-Rendered are preview videos. Such as, preview tutorial, skills, alchemy, and crafting videos.

This release remasters them to 4K and frame interpolates them up to 120fps. The videos have been exported in only HEVC, and H264 causes the game to struggle to play back the videos in-game, suggesting, the video player is single-threaded.

PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT RE-HOST MY FILES ON A THIRD-PARTY SITE. THIS ONLY AGGRAVATES AND CONVINCE ME FROM WORKING ON REMASTERED FMVs FURTHER, ESPECIALLY, WHEN I WAS NOT ASKED FOR PERMISSION.

  • At least 2 GB available on your storage device. ~971 MB for installation, ~2 GB to download and extract.
  • HEVC Codec to be installed, if not present on the system.
  • 3.5" 5900RPM or better HDD.

  • PLEASE use a reputable third-party download manager like Internet Download Manager [IDM] or JDownloader2. They are much better and reliable than browser's download manager. Any posts mentioning corrupted files, or anything along those lines, will not get any help from me!
  • These videos can be played on a lower screen resolution without issues.
  • The game will crash if HEVC video extension is missing from your PC.

  • Open STEAM common folder, this is where your games are located. To do this, go to STEAM, find A Plague Tale Requiem. Then Right-Click on it, go to Manage → Browse Local Files.
  • Back up by one folder / go to common folder. You will see the folder in the directory path above in File Explorer, so you can just click on where it says “common”.
  • Drag and Drop in the A Plague Tale Requiem folder from the archive inside the common folder. Replace files when asked by Windows.

I highly recommend reporting bugs under the `Bugs` tab under this mod page, although, I am not always active on Nexus Mods. Alternatively, report any bugs in my Discord Server, which helps me to organise and remember known bugs to fix, more easily.

I will attempt to fix any known bugs as soon as I can, however, I am very busy with my own life, so delays are to be expected!
