Wonderful shots, Dylan, of this game.   Yes, those darn hordes of rats, yeesh--fell afoul of them a few times when I played this game.

      Thank you, Pat!
I haven't seen what happens yet when you fall victim to them. Maybe I'll send Hugo in to find out....?

It's hard to really say what's historically accurate to 700 years ago, but it's really cool to experience a different world.
      Thanks Les!

Please don't think I'm being smart, my old mate, but archaeology here in the Old World goes back thousands of years with considerable accuracy and physically down anything up to 60 to 100 feet below ground level, while on the other hand, the archaeology of the New World goes down about a foot and a half!

Also, like many here in Western and North-Western Europe, many of us drive (and sometimes walk) past old castles on a daily basis on our way to work

Well I wasn't referring to the architecture, I'm aware of how many buildings even older than these are still standing (and in use even) in Europe lol.
I was more referring to the smaller details of peasant life, things that weren't likely to be written down very often. And while I'm sure this dev team did their research, I'm pretty sure they took some liberties with this world as well (see giant hordes of rats ;p)
And I still hope to make it over to Europe eventually to see such castles. The oldest buildings where I live are maaaybe 200 years old. lol

      Ah, understood mate

If ever you do get over to the Old World, I think you will really enjoy it. And of course, we have so much in common, as your own Constitution states that it's origins lie in the Magna Carta.

(And I hate rats, too! )

      Thank you, Larys! ^-^
It's quite a beautiful game, even if it has plenty of rats and rotting corpses in it too lol.

It's quite an interesting experience being a big sister to a scared little boy in this souped-up plague scenario.
And yeah, it's pretty easy to find subjects to take pictures of haha
      Thanks, Bob!

    great Dylan.
The landscape looks really great, I think it's nostalgic.
You make me more and more in the mood to try the game. I think I'll play it next after MetroExodus. I actually wanted to try Resident Evil trilogy first, but that will be postponed until later.
Thanks for the great pictures Dylan.m0109.gif

Nostalgic for 1348? Exactly how old are you, Frank? ;p
And that's great to hear! It's been a really nice experience so far.
      Thank you so much, Frank!

It passes "slight" about 0.3 seconds after the rat problem begins LOL

And listening to ancient instruments is quite fun. It's good music, but in the back of your mind you can see why nobody plays it anymore either lol

And I'm not afraid of them but it still gets unnerving to see them pouring out through every crack in the wall. Another good game to play in the dark for me though ;p
