Designed for players who want to have a challenge while building up - or players that want to focus on seafight part of the game. Adds new Warships, better pirates and a powerful AI.

This Mod is seperated into 3 different parts, so you canchoose what you actually want.

Part 1 has to be active, in order to use part 2 or part 3 or both.
Also dont rename folders. (if you do, keep the alphabetical order of parts 1 to
3)

If you think you are pro and you couldwin any game easily, then please try Bente, Willie, Qing and Pirates in Hard
mode. If you can defeat them all, you shall become the real pro on Anno 1800.


The Mod is also designed as a balanceact for using together with other Mods, that make the game more
easy/unbalanced. You can enjoy the real powers of all your mods while having an
adjustable and challenging AI setting here.
Or you can just take all the new ships(Part 1) and become even more imba :)

• Part 1 (New ShipTypes):
This adds various ship types and rearranges ship balances alittle bit. It also allows the AIs to use all new ships (and they will do).
- New Ship: Royal Galleon
            Massive Tradeships with someself defense. Almost as fast as a clipper but not that agile.
- New Ship: Heavy Warships
            Bigger and slower version ofa lineship, has more range and more damage.
- New Ship: Huge Cargo Ship
            Expensive and very bigcollier type with huge capacities. Very slow if fully loaded.
- New Ship: Irconclad
            (Irconclad Mod) A versatilefast new steambased warship. Stats based on original mod.
- New Ship: Battleship
            (Battleship Mod) Hugebattleship, heavy armored and well armed. Stats based on original mod.
- Redesign: Monitor
            This ship can be used as acheap steambased warship or as a good defended tradeship (4 slots now).
- Balance: Cannon Boat
           Will be cheaper to buildand sail faster against the wind. Also got some more hitpoints.
The Mod will also Add specialists to build upgraded versionsfrom some of the new ships.

• Part 2 (ChallengingAis):
This part buffs Bente, Willie and the Princess from1-star to 4-star AIs. They will build up faster to investor levels, make alot of more ships (also new ships) and they will have their harbor defenses
upgraded. Defenses in the old world will be buffed even more to avoid
outranging. Also some diplomacy changes to make them compatible with others AIs.
Those three AIs shall be a real challange all over the gameand will be even very hard to remove in the endgame, despite you having huge
fleets with items. Especially Bente is designed to have a real endgame rentless
opponent, if u let her build up.
- Princess Qing will be the most balanced AI over thebuffed ones.
- Willie Wibblesock will focus the most on military,attacks and defenses.
- Bente Jorgenson will be the toughest one - she willbuild stronger defenses, will build up slightly faster than both others and will get a special ship type, only availableto her, that can cause serious trouble.
This part also gives Admiral Silva a slight improve on oldworld defense and buffs the Anarchist Hugo Mercier to a regual 3 star AI (his
diplomacy and diplomacy based actions are not affected and will stay as usual).
You can try, but iwould not recommed using all three 4* AIs in one game - you will regret it.
 
Keep in mind that you might want to change some settingslike influence or income to an easier level in order to compete with the new
AIs.
 
• Part 3 (ImprovedPirates):
This part buffs both Pirates to a very military heavy andchallening AI. Pirates will have larger fleets, use more modern-tech ships and
some stronger ships. They will also built ships way faster and will get aunique super-heavy ship that can compete with larger fleets.
Pirates diplomacy was not changed but made it harder to havepermanent peace. Also harbor defenses stay mostly the same as before.
If you however manage to remove a pirate, he will be fasterback and come with a large armada to reign the world again.
Recommended setting for pirates is "Normal". ifyou put it to "Hard" you will really struggle in early game to get
off you island.
This part also adds another new ships to the game, bothpirate based.
 
Especially if you use all three parts of the mod, theimproved AI and the pirate will be become very hard to handle in most stages of
the game.

---------- ModCompabilities ----------
Incompatible to Harbor Life Mod. That mod causes AI not building ships.
This mod is not compatible to the old "new ships" mod. You also
should remove Battleship and IronClad Mods (ships are added within this mod).
When you dont remove Battleship and Ironclad nothing bad happens – you will
just have 2 very similar ships to build using same icons / graphics.


---------- Known Bugs ----------
If you havent unlocked the battleship, the text will say that you need a
lighthouse of an AI. This is only Text – the battleship will be unlocked after
you get 10.000 investors. There is no way to fix this text :(
